Trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

The first trailer has arrived for the sequel to the 2011 smash hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The film stars Jason Clarke and Keri Russell with Andy Serkis again doing motion-capture for the apes. Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) has been brought on to direct. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is slated to release on July 11, 2014.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
