HBO Orders New Series ‘Ballers’

HBO has picked up to series a half hour dramedy starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson called Ballers. The show is executive produced by Johnson and Mark Wahlberg. The pilot was written by Steve Levinson (Entourage) and directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Lone Survivor).
The show is centered around a group of current and former football players and their families, friends, and handlers. The cast includes Rob Corddry and John David Washington (Denzel’s son).
