It wasn’t until last week that MLBAM started talking about its upcoming revival of RBI Baseball and the reaction to the first news and screenshots has been anything but kind. Meanwhile EA Sports has been steadily promoting 2014 FIFA World Cup which hasn’t generated the usual level of hype due to the decision not to release on PS4 and Xbox One. The two games were discussed in separate segments of the latest Press Row Hangout.

The 2010 World Cup game sold around 2 millions on PS3 and 360. With maybe 12 millions PS4s and Ones around in June, those versions together would sell what, 400 thousand? It’s bad that it will not exist, but FIFA 14 is 95% the same across generations, with faster menus and some cosmetic enhancements. The World Cup will be very polished visually, mainly it will turn out to be getting egos on the side and turning on the old consoles again.

this game will be great…its clearly old school style and a group of people cant play a tournament or post season in a few hours with the MLB THE SHOW. This game looks like anyone can pick it up and learn quickly which means anyone is going to be able to play it….seems like the audience for this should out number hard core baseball fans 200 to 1. This is absent on the PS3 console/PS4…this video seems like a couple of dudes by themselves wanting to play online when there actually used to be games where you could play and have like 5 people over…perhaps youve forgotten hard core gamer dude

no one cares about the guy on the couch in that video. this game is old school and 5 people in a room can all play for like hours…this is missing in the market..no one wants a mobile baseball game on a tiny screen. people still play ps3/ps4 with a tv…except not everyone has the time to be a pro SHOW player…this game looks like anyone can play it…
