Ronda Rousey announced as cover athlete for EA Sports UFC 2

The odds-on favorite to get the cover of EA Sports UFC 2 was always going to be Ronda Rousey, so when the company scheduled the announcement for today it made it obvious that very news was going to be made official. Rousey is set to defend her title tomorrow night at UFC 193 and has been revealed as one of two cover athletes for the game. The second individual, which could be Conor McGregor, will be named at a later date.
Rousey has become the most marketable fighter alive today. It’s not just in the octagon – where her dominance is unmatched – but her presence in the entertainment industry expands significantly the reach she offers as a promotional partner.
EA Sports UFC 2 is set to release spring 2016 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Features include a “Knockout Physics System” and Ultimate Team.
