Changes that have been made to EA Sports UFC 3 based on feedback out of the beta continue to be detailed with a new video explaining what has been done to make knockouts look more natural and noting that a specific camera zoom in the moment has been removed. Previous videos have focused largely on stamina and animation speeds.

Sure a lot of coverage here for a game few care about and that will be half-price 2 weeks after release. Slow news season, I guess.

    • It’s funny you’d say that about a series that sells more per edition than MLB The Show.

      • Keith.

I don’t believe that for a second. Maybe after 2 years of being available for $10 they catch up to The Show, but not before.

        • SockfulOfNickels

The numbers I find show UFC 2 selling around 1.3 million and the Show selling around a million. And The Show goes on sale too to help boost numbers. Not saying The Show isn’t a much, much, much better game but you seem to equate sales to success soooooooo…

          • Keith.

            Link?

          • The Great Leon

The Show doesn’t add anything to make people buy it every year. I play it every other year and buy maybe every 3years.

          • Keith.

Don’t know how reliable it is, but this article says The Show sold an estimated 612k units in its very first week of release this year. I know UFC doesn’t do those numbers.

And these links show The Show placed in the NPD Top 10 for 3 months straight this year. Again, UFC will be lucky to place in the NPD Top 10 in one month, let alone three.

            What evidence do you got?

          • SockfulOfNickels

MLB the Show numbers (1 million) –

            UFC 2 numbers (1.28 million) –

            Learn how to use Google.

          • Keith.

            Vgchartz is your sole source?

          • SockfulOfNickels

Projecting NPD charts is yours? You ask for a source, I provide the one most used by people, and it’s still not good enough for you when you were just assuming all NPD charts were created equal (tip – they aren’t). No matter what evidence you are shown you have proven you will just believe what you want to believe. I don’t know why Vgchartz would provide any more unreliable numbers than one month of NPD (which doesn’t include unit figures). I don’t think we are going to find any more solid or concrete numbers than VGchartz since the companies don’t tend to advertise their unit sales.

If it makes you feel better, they have 2K18 outselling Madden 2.57 million to 2.26 million so now you have something from Vgchartz you can use to keep trolling EA.

          • Keith.

Dude, you might want to take your own advice and use Google to learn the difference between NPD and vgchartz.

Actually, I’ll save you the time — NPD uses real sales figures, and includes both unit sales figures plus digital for most games.

The last time MLB The Show and UFC competed directly against one another, in 2015, MLB The Show placed in the NPD Top 10 for March, April, and May, while UFC was one-and-done after March. Don’t believe me, look it up.

But if you still want to argue, I’ll keep waiting for a legit source.

          • SockfulOfNickels

We are arguing about total unit sales, that’s all. And there’s no reason whatsoever to question the ones I provided, while you are arguing irrelevant things like who was in the top 10 the most. You are absolutely useless.

          • UFC sells some all over the globe which seems to be what you’re not considering, unlike The Show which is basically just limited to the US and Canada.

          • Keith.

I’m not ignoring anything. Just waiting for a link to a source other than vgchartz. Do you got one?

    • ConCity Soldier

Yes! They need to make a new Fight Night instead.

  • Brian

Such a violent sport…In real life and video gaming !! I don’t touch these types of games !!

    • Keith.

Nobody does. Watch how fast this drops to half-price, and later, to $10.

  • The Great Leon

I liked the THQ UFC games. Haven’t played the EA ones they seem like they try to be too technical which likely creates glitches. I enjoy watching UFC though.

    • Brian

You enjoy watching people get hurt and bleeding , and ending up in the hospital from their injuries ??!! 🤔🙄

      • ManInTheBox

I guess you don’t watch football or hockey since people get hurt, bleed and go to the hospital from those sports as well?

      • Rhoades

        You’re talking about football right?

      • The Great Leon

You realize they are not forced to participate right? and only the bandwagoners watch it for pure blood. I like to see what styles beat other styles and good match ups.

  • jbstoner44

It really doesn’t matter how much UFC sell. EA is now irrelevant in the sports industry.. It wiil be selling for $20 March 2018.
