I thought this was a boxing game? I saw a guy run up a guys body, do a backflip and kick to the face. Are they serious or is this a joke, of a supposed to be boxing game?

It’s not like Facebreaker is replacing Fight Night. They’re two completely different type of games.

Facebreaker is EA’s attempt to make Fight Night look more realistic.

I think they are just trying to appeal to the casual boxing audience and casual gamers across the board.

Uhm, that’s what Fight Night Round 3 did with its famous “facial ripple” technology. Seriously, talk to any serious boxing fan who actually understands the sport and you’ll hear that FNR3 is pure garbage. At least Facebreaker isn’t trying to pass itself off as a sim.

Honestly who cares whether a game is designated as “sim” or “arcade”. A lot of people liked Fight Night as a franchise for EA its the next best sure thing to Madden. Whether people on websites want to call it a sim or not is basically irrelevant.

I don’t see any new “arcade” boxing game around so at least they are trying a niche. I still don’t see at as a good title though.

this game is a waste of time to develop. Thanx ea for this waste. Coulda put more money and people into the titles that matter most.

All the characters and the style of this game reminds me to a mortal kombat or dead or alive game in a box-ring, it looks so childish.
I dont really know, why they stopped the fight night serie, it was a success on xbox360, and it was a rare quality product from EA.

I dont know why so many people keep talking like Facebreaker is in place of Fight Night because its not. The next Fight Night is in development and targeted to release in 2009.
