I don’t know when Russell is going to post up his thoughts and pictures from running through franchise. Just understand that franchise isn’t an easy thing to take in within that environment. I mentioned the Super Bowl having the SB logos in the end zone and on the field, and camera flashes being more intense. We also know about the rivlary aspect factoring into games. I believe Russell mentioned that the simmed stats looked good at first glance. Another small thing is they added a “Resume Franchise” option to go along with “New Franchise” and “Load Franchise”. From what Phil Frazier told me that just loads up the last franchise you had played, I suppose skipping how you would have to go into the saves section and choosing it.

Plus EA is supposed to have a franchise blog coming out very soon. I don’t think there is anything you’re going to see that is revolutionary, just things that were done behind the scenes to make the mode better.

Okay I understand. I’m just anxious because that’s the meat and potatoes for Madden. Its going to determine if I purchase it or not. So far the game looks amazing but if the franchise mode is dry and stale then to me there’s no real replay value…

Thats 3rd down RB. A different scale is used to determine a 3rd down RB rating. His real rating is 88 if you look at the HB section.

In this year’s madden, can you convert a character from one position to another position completely? For example, if I had a RE, could i convert him into a DT or a LB permanently? It might not sound like much of a feature, but it would impress me.

Damn sorry, I forgot to check on that. I know you can do it in Head Coach though.

I fully agree..although ill still buy the game.. its all bout franchise for me.. last yr there were too many screens that did nothing (finances) and too many screens to go thru with load time ( scouting) so hopefully they at the least fixed that

They are trying to get the uniforms more accurate, and I believe black shoes for the 49ers and Ravens were on the list. I can’t say whether they will or not in the end though.

Wow my Dolphins got a lot better. O-Line is the biggest thing for me. Last year it was so difficult playing with them online because I had no time to pass and no where the run. Running attack should be good. Long (86), Smiley (89), and Satele (86) with Ronnie (92) and Ricky (80) I’m gonna be running left A LOT. Thanks for the pics Pasta.

You could create-a-player and assign his attributes without going through drills in Madden’08 (or there was an option to run through the drills); so I’m sure it’ll be the same for Madden’09.
