Xbox 360 NCAA Football 09 Rosters in EA Locker

The controversy surrounding the “business” of rosters has been in the public eye more so this year than any before. That in itself threatens the future of having an editing option in games such as EA Sports NCAA Football and NCAA Basketball. This year with the addition of the EA Locker feature and the following announcement hopefully that is about to change.
I can now state that the first and only fully named roster file for NCAA Football 09 on the Xbox 360 currently resides in my EA Locker.
I am choosing not to release the file for download at this time as it would just offer the opportunity for certain people to nab it in advance and use it for their own profit. However it is publicly available via the Locker to those who have the game and will remain that way.
I apologize to PS3 gamers as I do not have that roster available. Keep an eye on NCAA Strategies and freencaa09rosters for updates on that. The same circumstances will apply with a fully named roster available for free through the EA Locker, though the timing of when it will be available can not be determined at this time.
So now for 360 gamers there is no waiting around after release for rosters to be completed and no wondering where to get them from. The first time you fire up the game you’ll be able to grab the complete named roster from my locker. Even if you’re one of the lucky ones who manage to find the game early!
Spread the word that rosters are free and easier to obtain this year than ever before. Just head into the EA Locker section of NCAA Football 09 and search the gamertag pastapadre to get them instantly!
Title updated to more accurrately reflect the current situation. The rosters can now be found in other lockers as well.

Like he said, there are PLENTY of people who will be working on rosters for both systems, and tweaking them, we still have 9 days till the game comes out, dont worry PS3 guys!!
Well if you have the game early and have completed your roster set… this is great news… know why> Becasue that means Fairdale Kings has surely got the gaem now too so his roster should be out by release as well. THAT is the most accurate roster out there and has been for the past 4 years. Hooray!!!

Thousands of NCAA gamers like myself won’t even start our dynasties until we have a roster file loaded.

yes, finally I don’t have to spend hours going from espn.com to the game and typing in players names. I actually got very far this year I had every players name in the game from 99- 80 overall.

Huge news!!! thanks pasta. now I won’t have to buy any college football magazines to get all of the rosters. nor will I have to spend a whole week (or two) entering all the names manually like I used to.
so when will they be available and how do you get them I know it’s in the ea a locker but can you tell me how like do you have to download them or can you get them right off of xbox live? I would rather have real names on the jerseys instead of the generic numbers it makes it more realistic is there a website that has the process step by step i probably sound like an idiot right now but I have never used the EA locker before

this was complete bull! who was excited by that announcement cuz u need to really examine yourself? this was the most wack thing i ever heard that was suppose to be big news! who cant name rosters and correct all the necessary things to have a great roster? thats not a hard thing to do. definitely time consuming but not rocket science! simple formula into making good rosters and here it is and guess what im not even a freerosters.com or any other website doing rosters. im just a regular ol gamer like everyone else but heres the formula agree or disagree.
1. do your homework
2. look at game film to know what equipment and other accessories players wear whether its taped ankles, backflaps, those alienated helmets, etc….
3. skin color we all know there are gonna b sum players whose skin color is too dark
4. weight, height,class, hometown (this is difficult because u cant always get the exact city unless it changed this year or it lets u manually type it in)
4. pad height, long sleeves jerseys meaning the jersey arms long or looking rolled under
5. whether player is redshirting or not
** special note** i bet not one roster site ever named all the teams head coaches because i bet they never realized it was possible but it is.. thats doing your homework people so are u really getting real rosters or not cuz real rosters include heach coaches

You cant name coaches in the regular portion, only in dynasty mode and by that point, everyone picks different teams, and all the recruits would be the same. You used to be able to name them before hand, but not now.

I know I don’t have much of a life outside of having a beautiful wife and daughter and running a small business, but entering all of the players names takes too much time. If I had more spare time then maybe this news would suck or maybe it wouldn’t.
someone should email this into kotaku after they covered the roster topic this past week
grow up my ass u bitches! u think some roster is big news….one i never have or never will pay for a roster because they never r accurate. this was just regular news people. im not bashing just being honest. lets think for a minute. now what happens when yall try to log on the server and it crashes before u can finish downloading the file or worse u cant even get on the server. yep thats right we gonna have alot of whiny ass bitches complaining about how they couldnt get the rosters but yet we hear u hollering now about how great news this is. dont get me wrong i sure as hell dont wanna name all those players correct there info and equipment and everything else. i applaud pasta for doing all that but face no matter who does the roster i can guarantee u not a single one will be 100% accurate.

The fact that there will be fully named rosters available free of charge on launch date is a huge blow to the Brian Kaldenbergs and eBay roster pimps.

I do think this is cool they will be available on release day, but its a matter of accuracy. If the roster file is merely some names EA has provided pasta w/o taking players out, editing #’s, sizes, positions, etc. then I will not be downloading them. I have gotten them from DT the last 4 or 5 years, helped edit a few teams this year, and will more than likely just wait to get his that he puts out. Don’t get me wrong tho, its great some rosters will be available, but lets wait to see how good they are first before we all get way too excited…again.

Yes! This will save me a bunch of time, and I can get started on my dynasty immediately when I get 09.
I firmly believe that it is not against NCAA regulations to use the players’ names, but Myles Brand enjoys watching all of us suffer while he drowns kittens from his evil lair.
I don’t really care about #s and size besides for ND (my favorite team), which I edit anyways.
It was a pain last year to find out whether Duval Kamara or Golden Tate was WR #3.
Great work, Pasta, this is fantastic, and I’m saying that as a PS3 owner. freencaa09rosters will be the place to go for PS3 owners once the game gets released, rosters should be up there shortly and FOR FREE - if you’re paying for rosters from people like DT Linder etc you’re wasting your money.
Tell me you’ll have it for the PS3 by the release date… please

Why do people insist that DT makes you pay for rosters? All you have to pay for is an envelope and stamps. Sorry if you are so cheap that a dollar or two will piss you off. Get a life. I have used DT’s rosters for 4 years or so and have never seen anybody better. And, you don’t have to pay him. You can always donate to help but in no way does he make you pay.
