  • The Latest NBA 2K14 and FIFA 14 Next-Gen Gameplay Videos
    Posted November 11th, 2013 at 11:45 am 37 Comments
Despite the end of the week bringing the launch of the PlayStation 4 the sports games have still shown very little in the way of raw gameplay footage. While Madden NFL 25 and NBA Live 14 are being almost completely hidden, off-screen videos from conventions for FIFA 14 and a short clip for NBA 2K14 were all that was available to see of those two in action until now. Thanks to demo units being up in retail stores more off-screen videos have materialized for both while FIFA also has some direc...

  • NBA 2K14 Description of Online Mode The Park and PS4 Exclusive Content Detailed
    Posted November 7th, 2013 at 4:00 pm 19 Comments
NBA 2K14 for the PlayStation 4 is reaching stores this week and retailers have the go ahead to sell copies immediately. That means additional details on the game thanks to the back of the box feature descriptions. That we're getting actual news on the game from the back of the box a week before the new console releases is fairly mind-boggling but is indicative of just how down to the wire information will be arriving on all the sports titles for launch.  (more…)...

In a new trailer today for the PS4 it has been revealed that NBA 2K14 will have exclusive content for the system which is due out November 15. There was no indication of what that might amount to but is another thing to consider - besides the possibility the game will run better on the PS4 than Xbox One - in making purchase decisions this month and going forward. It's telling that even the NBA 2K14 developers are favoring the PS4 and that is something you'd never expect to hear publicly voic...

Despite carrying over most of the legends from the previous iterations NBA 2K14 lost a couple big names and even a few entire teams. One of the most prominent missing players was Julius Erving. 'Dr. J' appeared in NBA 2K12 but was absent from 2K13 and until earlier today 2K14. 2K Sports has added Erving to the 1976-77 Philadelphia 76ers historic team however he remains missing from the 1984-85 Sixers squad. Posted October 24th, 2013 at 6:15 pm 9 Comments
The deluge of info yesterday regarding the Xbox One and PS4 versions of NBA 2K14 was then followed by gameplay footage. Still there is a lot to learn about the game with just three weeks until release of the PS4. The four central modes (MyCareer, MyTeam, MyGM, and NBA Today) were discussed but not in great detail. Screenshots released today provide at least a glimpse of a few of those modes and how they'll differ from current-gen. There is one screenshot each that comes from MyCareer, MyT...
