Photo Face still unavailable for Tiger Woods 08

Updating previous articles on 8/30 and 8/28, the EA Sports World site is still not functioning thus preventing consumers from utilizing the Photo Face feature in Tiger Woods 08.
There is now a new message that states the max number of connections has been exceeded. Occasionally I have been able to log in, however the process of creating a photo face has never completed. It is amusing seeing commercials advertising the feature and Tiger Woods promoting it even though it hasn’t worked since the game has been officially released.
Making things even worse in this situation is that when the EASportsWorld site goes down it affects all other games that use the site. Those who wish to upload screenshots and video clips from NCAA Football or anyone who wants to look in on their online Madden stats and results are out of luck.
Still no word on when to expect the site to work properly. It should be a concern that NHL 08 releases in a little over a week. How much that game will use EA Sports World is unknown although it is expected to in some capacity.
I’m glad I didn’t buy this game right off the bat. I don’t understand why this doesn’t work. I mean, I upload photos all the time to Forza motorsport, check all of my stats, and even participate in message boards, and there’s never any meaningful issue with it (no lost photos, lots times, etc). I just don’t get it. I really hope EA figures out how to do this right, because this could be an awesome feature.
That’s EA Sports for you… Lucky for me I still have the Eyetoy. Don’t even have to use that crap website
I was going to buy Tiger Woods 08, but after the Madden 08 letdown/debacle, I held off. It looks like I made the right decision.
I think somebody will use this to fan the flames of Madden/EA hatred once more. I can see it on Kotaku right now…
One of the many reasons I’m still yet to buy a Live membership for the sports games I play (and I’ve had the console for almost a year now) and I’m yet to buy Tiger.
its this false advertisement!!! can it be a law suit 4 this shit! man what the hell is wrong with this multi million dollar company man! i love madden but the damn game keep freeze on me, in this my second copy, i cant take this much longer, i hope peter moore do something about this!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gameface is not working for SOME people. It is working for others. I was able to get mine to work on launch day. It took some trial and error but, eventually, it worked. I was able to get it to work again yesterday.
I can’t be the only one that it has worked for.
