IGN has released six new video clips to go along with their updated hands-on of Don King Presents: Prizefighter. The full write-up can be found here.
The six videos cover different aspects of the game such as gameplay, arenas, training, and story mode. After its poor initial showing last week do these videos change your current opinion of the game? Continue on to view all six of them and leave your thoughts in the comments.
Prizefighter takes a slightly different approach to its mechanics by abandoning the tried and true right stick approach to punching, replacing it with a more traditional face button style. X defaults as your jab, Y is your straight punch, A is your left hook, B is your right hook with a combination of two buttons required to pull off an uppercut. In our few hours with Prizefighter the punching system was responsive and relatively fast-moving. Animations follow along accordingly and look as you’d expect, though things weren’t quite as responsive in our early build as we’d like to see.

looks alot better, but i’d like to see more jabs, and wonder if playing like a real boxer = better chances to win, that’s what will make the difference for me.

Everything about the game looks great except for one thing THE BOXING! This is something I would expect from EA not 2K! The arenas look great, the story mode looks great, but the actual gameplay sucks! Like I said months ago, if 2K is going to put out a boxing game then the gameplay better be as good if not better than Fight Night and that doesn’t look like the case. I had really high hopes for this game and it looks like I’ll have to wait for Fight Night round 4!

I told you guys we have no clue what we’re doing at 2K Sports. It doesn’t matter because we’re getting bought out on Monday by EA anyway so who cares. LETS PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What makes this game weak is the fact that its set in the 20th century no maywheather del la hoya tarver you know the fighters you may have been born to see and the fighting that i saw looks like the boxers fight the same way but block and stand with different styles the presentation is top rate with the entrances and commentary and the robes yes the robes first fight game to have that. Yea the outside of the car looks like a Ferrari but under the hood looks like a broke down lawn mower
