NCAA Football 09 Patch Details

The complete list of what is being fixed in the second patch is now available thanks to producer Adam Thompson. This patch is expected to be submitted to MS/Sony today which means it could potentially arrive before September if things go smoothly. The first patch, which fixes the player editing issues, may be out as early as next week.
Expanding on what was already known the patch will include the ability to view your Online Dynasty headquarters through EA Sports World along with some bug fixes. Continue on to view the full list of items included in the patch.
Online

- Improved online performance
Dynasty
- Fixed a couple recruiting exploits
- Faster simming between weeks
Custom Stadium Sounds
- The “All” option will now only work when the user is the home team
Gameplay
- Improved coverage on kicks
- Hook Zones depth keeps defenders in their zones
- Fixed an issue with the Strafe Catch
- Allow fumbles to occur when diving
- WR screen routes improved
Bug Fixes
- Sliders will now work correctly
- An issue with missing stats after simming has been fixed
- Ball carrier will no longer run out of bounds when changing hands and heading towards the sidelines
- Fixed an exploit that allowed the slot receiver to burn the safeties in a prevent defense
- Fixed a bug where the the ball would hit the cross bar, drop through, and not be counted
- Fixed a bug that would prevent Hot Routes from working

One thing that certainly needs to be fixed is IOWA’s home uniforms (the numbers/names are supposed to be white, not gold), obviously most posters here won’t care about it, but if it was your team you would be PISSSED. as all in hawkeye nation who own this game are.
IOWA’s jerseys have not changed AT ALL since EA started making this game, and NOW they get them wrong!? Their entire marketing campaign was the gameday experience, maybe you should worry a little less about the cheerleaders next year EA.

I still do not understand why they would put a mascott game in the game? And the cheerleaders?
I have no clue who’s bright idea that was, but they need to be fired. All that time and dedication to the cheerleaders and mascotts could have gone into the regular game. I hope Madden dosent have a bunch of hokey stuff!
I can see it now…NCAA2010, …we are now putting a powder puff game in the game along with bean bag racing…???
DUDE….WORK ON THE ONLINE GAMING…and once that is 100% accurate with no grips or complaints…work on the other b.s.

Why do people keep writing the patch is out? Is that suppose to be funny or something? It might have came out today, but when the other nuckle heads write it was out, it wasn’t. Its not funny, its stupid. I didn’t fall for it and get mad….but I did call a buddy and told him it was out, he told me it wasn’t.

I just got a ps3 and this game, so i am new at this stuff. Can someone inform me about these patches? Do i need to get on a site and download them or do they automatically download them selfs? I have wireless so my ps3 is on the net all the time? Thanks for the help and understanding! Also how do i get the rosters name? I read where people talked about this, but again i do not know how to do this stuff

The patch (or at least some kind of update) IS out, but it doesn’t come out for everyone at the same time I guess cuz I was playing my friend online last night, and when I turned it on, it said to download the update, but at the exact same time it DIDN’T say for him to update…guess you just gotta wait for it to come

hey anybody interested in startin an online dynasty sometime for 360? lets get a big one going all in a major conference like sec or big12 or acc or somethin (ones with a championship are best but big10 and pac10 work). anybody in? i play on heisman and am decent but definitely not a superpro or anything…lemme know if you guys are interested. gamertag’s Shedanigans

Well the patch is out, and I don’t see where I can see my online dynasties from my EA Sports World profile.
And the bug that was reported on the EA Sports World forums as being fixed, talking online dynasty players into staying and not transferring or going to the nfl draft was NOT fixed, they ALL leave even though at that step it says they are staying after you talked to them.
Also there is now a NEW bug. CBs and TEs will like up in slot positions in 3 plus wide receiver shotgun sets.
The major impact of this patch is that now recruits get mad soon where you talk to them and you can’t keep your best undergrads from leaving. HOW, EA SPORTS, AM I SUPPOSED TO BUILD A DYNASTY????
WE NEED A NEW PATCH!!! Remember last fall when they released a patch that broke Madden? This one is a close second in my book.

Hello, I understand that you field many complaints and what not from people
all over the world. This is one small message in your sea of an inbox I’m
sure. However, I felt my issue could not wait anymore because it seems there
is no change in sight.
I purchased NCAA Football 2009 in September. I have not play NCAA since 01
or sometime around there. Anyways, I started an online dynasty with a friend
who also owns this game. I was so excited because I had never seen a feature
like Online Dynasty. We started up a Dynasty by picking a conference in
which neither of us had a favorite team. The teams we picked were major
works in progress and that was exciting part. Rebuilding a team by
recruiting and winning, gaining conference prestige and ultimately building
powerhouses was so exciting of a concept. We played through 3 years and in
year 3 we came to the offseason. I was so excited because my small school
had good players in a few positions and wanted to keep them. Our recruiting
got better, but I didnt realize I would be recruiting for immediate needs.
Apparently, when we go into the “Players Leaving” tab, we have the chance to
save our recruits who are trying to leave. Unfortunately, after being able
to successfully keep those said players we advanced the week. I noticed that
I had 10 hours of recruiting. I thought … “Hmm, this is strange,
considering I spent about 5 hours trying to keep key players”. Then I
noticed it actually kept no one. After this I was pretty upset, so I went to
the message boards to see if anyone else had been having this problem. Wow,
I was astonished by how many people were complaining about this same issue.
In one particular post, I read a response from a supposed member of the EA
design team. It said there is no priority to fix this issue because it does
not affect the users ability to play online dynasty.
I was taken back by this. If any of you have played this dynasty online,
surely you know of the problem because it probably happened to you. I read
some posts saying the Players leaving tab does not upload properly as it
should and that is why no one can keep anyone. This is a real serious flaw
to an otherwise flawless game (in my opinion).
My question is this. Is EA going to release a patch fixing this issue before
the next edition rolls into stores? Im sure that EA works on the next years
product as soon as the current one hits the shelves but this is something
that people would like fixed.
Please advise soon with something informational. I feel that since I
purchase your product, that I should at least be given the consideration to
have a response to this issue.
Also, is there a phone support number that we can provide feedback too?

I am having the same problem that Chris posted on Oct. 22. I continue to lose my top players every off-season and it shows that I never spoke to them to convince them to stay. My friend and I are in a dynasty and he, as the league commissioner has not had any problems. I, however, keep losing my information even after I back out to the Dynasty Management screen and it says “Transfer Requests Complete.” This is very frustrating as I have my best player to date about to finish his sophomore season and i know he’ll be looking to go pro….any ideas to fix this?
