Madden NFL Arcade Now Available

Got the game yesterday on the PS3 and really like it. Having a ton of fun playing it online.

Depends. Its not a deep experience but as a head-to-head game I like it. Give the trial a shot at least but I can't guarantee you'd think its worth it. I just know that it is for me.

Just go to Play Now on online play and you'll download a roster update.

Needless to say, I was surprised to see that this game actually had roster updates.

Can someone really be honest who has played it and tell me if its actually a decent game worth $15 that I'm not gonna play for an hour and get bored with?

Play the trial and decide for yourself, should be able to get a good feel from that. Arcade games are tough to evaluate based on whether others would enjoy them. Certainly this isn't a single player focused game but if you're going to play against friends or play online than it may provide that value you're looking for.

How do i play the Trial? Where?

Guessing you have never played an arcade game before or something? Just go to where the game is, and look for the trial. use your common sense.

Um, actually iv pretty much owned every arcade sports game ever! And i just found out that the Trial is only on 360 and i was talking about PS3 so this has nothing to do with common sense buddy!

Yeah, no trial for PS3. That sucks! I was not very enthusiastic about this game to begin with but if I can even try it, no way i'm buying it.

This game is a joke. for real I played the demo. It's SO EASY it's truly a joke. I can score a TD in 2 plays no problem. 15$ for this is really a joke. hell 5$ for it is a joke. I know this game is just for a quick fun time but, not fun at all since it's just so damn easy. Don't buy this game, and feed into EA making dumb things like this. I hate telling ppl not to buy anything (Since it's not my problem) but, this really sucks.

I can see why some wouldnt like the game. I dont have a problem with you feeling that way. But when you talk about it being easy of course it is, its meant to be that way. But if youre basing it on the CPU that would come across boring I know but online it is competitive and entertaining.

I rather pay 15$ to get kicked in the nutts then buy this trash. Like seriously what is it gonna be fun for like 10 minutes? People are saying its sooo fun online? I think the real madden 10 would be funner online anyway right? And why would you give them your money in the first place when they havent even released the second patch yet? now I see how they keep making so much dam money its from people like you that spend your money on gay ass arcade games like this. I wish they'd put time into the actual game they released in august, so that i could finally play it! I guess the 2nd patch will be out around February!! Madden USE to be THE football game to play. Not anymore. EA spends so much time catering to pansy football gamers, and not the hardcore players who have been playing madden since 1989 on the commodre 64. I really could care less about flyovers, and fans grilling SQUARE hotdogs before the game, or towels tucked into the pants!!!! I want realistic gameplay. PLEASE.

field goals look harder and harder each week except for "janikowski and kaeding"!!only
can you block them as easy as the kick returns or just add a blocking IQ, cuz they kick between my hands all of the time...and any kick above the 35 yard line should be eligible to be blocked by a lineman!
make sure to make it balanced most of all
if i throw to my player too hard /DROP no matter what receiver, but the defense grabs anything with anybody and the part that kills me---1 handed pix hasn't been done for real since Cromartie got Manning years ago on D.

Yep...game one against the Titans...and it was sweet!!! But I completely agree with the point...its total BS that a WR get's hit and drops the ball but as a WR you can't play Defense on a picked off pass and try to knock it loose...done all the time in the NFL....and I've hit the defender so they do a flip and they still hold onto it no matter what...I have WR who can't even do that...wtf EA!!

Online play is fun. Just got done playing a game with my cousin and it's a nice little game.

For $15 though, it may not be worth the price of admission for everyone. I'd wait on a price drop on PSN/XBLA before buying if you're unable to try out the game first.

BTW pasta, THERE ARE ROSTER UPDATES FOR THIS GAME.

Just start up an online game session/lobby and you'll immediately be prompted to download a roster update. These are some of the changes that I noticed:
- Chiefs have Chris Chambers at WR instead of Bobby Wade
- Chiefs have Jamaal Charles at RB instead of Larry Johnson.
- Titans have Vince Young at QB instead of Kerry Collins.
- 49ers have Alex Smith at QB instead of Shaun Hill.
- Ravens have Ray Rice at RB instead of Willis McGahee.
- Dolphins have Davone Bess at WR instead of Ted Ginn.
- Buccaneers have Josh Freeman at QB instead of Josh Johnson.
- Vikings have Sidney Rice at WR instead of Bernard Berrian.

Alright the game is really fun online. I wouldn't recommended to someone just for a single player experience though. Love how the strategy is implemented in terms of power-ups and I even find myself playing field position because it is not an offensive dominated game. Full impressions and videos should be up late tonight.

I thought EA Sports already released a Madden Arcade, back on August 14th!!!!!!

It's actually an okay game however it is way too expensive. They drop this to $5 I would pick it up.

Same with NBA Unrivaled. This would have been a sweet game ten years ago but way too expensive...
