New Backbreaker Details Emerge

While Backbreaker has been largely quiet since being shown to some media outlets at E3 there have been a few things discovered over that time including the publisher and potential release date and price. Now Backbreaker has finally stepped out and delivered additional details on the game. The current release date listed by Gamestop of April 27th would fit in the spring time frame now mentioned and appears to be a real date and not a placeholder. That date has not been confirmed though so it could change. The discounted price of $49.99 seems likely but this has not been confirmed either.

Make sure to check out my preview of Backbreaker from E3 for more. Despite some articles out there stating otherwise the game is set to have what is being described as a “multi-year season mode” though it is odd that it wouldn’t be mentioned on the features list. Setting a new standard in football video games, Backbreaker rushes the genre with a new playbook for hard‐hitting action.     P.S. Madden sukcs too but at least it's got a decent franchise mode and real players. I can live without real players but a wack ass franchise mode is killer. This game is nothing but an updated Blitz

    Unfortunately, this 'feature' list doesn't have anything at all that suggests it's going to have any one-up over Madden.

    People are really hyping the Natural Motion, but I'm not feeling the ragdoll-type physics for football. Don't get me wrong, it's great for throwing Niko's lifeless body through a windshield, or tossing hapless Stormtroopers into space… but in football, nobody goes limp like that unless they're knocked out cold, which is very very rare.
