This week’s news included talk of a Kick-Ass sequel, trailers for a handful of new movies, and FlashForward gets the axe.
- Brad Bird to Direct M:I4. Release date has been pushed back from May 27th 2011 to December 16th 2011.
- Early Rumors of Kick-Ass Sequel. “Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall” has been scheduled for production in 2011 for a 2012 cinema release.
- Apatow & Rudd Teaming Up For New Comedy. Role Models writers Ken Marino and David Wain will also work on the project.
- Super 8 Trailer Officially Released. Will be written and directed by JJ Abrams and produced by him and Steven Spielberg.
- Production Starts on Spartacus Prequel. Starz has announced that a six episode prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand has begun production.
- Trailer for The Adjustment Bureau. The movie stars Matt Damon and Emily Blount and is based on a short story by Philip K Dick.
- Third Internet Trailer For ‘Toy Story 3′. Will hit theaters June 18th, 2010.
- The Latest Series Renewal Rumors. News on Chuck, Heroes and Lie to Me/Human Target.
- SHIELD Movie Coming After The Avengers? Samuel L. Jackson signed on to a nine picture deal as Nick Fury in the Marvel movies.
- ABC Renews V, Cancels FlashForward. FlashForward has been axed while V will return for 13 more episodes.
- True Blood Season 3 Trailer. True Blood is set to premiere on Sunday June 13th.
- Napoleon Dynamite Animated Show Being Developed. Most of the original cast would be included in the show.
- Trailer for The American. The movie stars George Clooney as an assassin.
