NFL Blitz Rosters: NFC West and South

ESPN continues to roll out the rosters for the upcoming EA Sports’ reboot of NFL Blitz set for release on January 4th. The NFC West and South follow the NFC North and East which were detailed late last week. Each team carries seven offensive (QB, RB, 2WR/TE, 3OL) and seven defensive players (3DL, LB, 3DB) along with a kicker and punter.

Again it seems to be that some of the roster inclusions are outdated and the limited number of slots means a few players that are probably worthy of being in the game have been left out. The Saints probably best reflect that issue and the need for at least one roster update (still unknown if there will be any) out of the teams within these two divisions.

For the Bucs it should be Tanard Jackson instead of Jones. LB should be Foster maybe Black since Geno Hayes seemed to have disappeared.

I’m pretty satisfied with the Seahawks roster. Would rather have Richard Sherman over Marcus Trufant but realize he emerged too late in the season. Wish there was a way to squeeze in Kam Chancellor too – he would be a fun guy to control in Blitz.

I agree with you 100%  I kind of wish they put Doug Baldwin as the 2nd WR, but I can live with Mr. Williams.  Gonna be a fun game…go Hawks!  Nice switch up from Madden 12 during the off season!  GO HAWKS again.   Pasta, thanks for the awesome site.

Jeremy Trueblood over Davin Joseph is travesty.

  • MoneyMayweather

    where’s jimmy graham?

    • Jarod

Exactly the reason why Pasta said there needs to be at least one roster update. I believe teams should have 25-man rosters so they can have a little depth. But if there is any sort of roster update Jimmy Graham should replace Lance Moore.

  • 2K killed EA

Judging by the huge amount of comments, people are really excited for this game.

    Really excited.

    • Keith.

Yet we’ll continue to see more stories about it and I’ll make a prediction now that it will end up around the bottom of Pasta’s top 10 list next year.

As we approach 2012, who in their right mind would buy a 15 year old arcade football game where players catch on fire and they don’t even have the correct rosters?  Only a true blue EA die hard, if they’ve got any $ left after being bilked for MUT, EA Season Ticket, etc.

      • Jarod

I would in my right mind as the only money I spent on Madden was paying $40 on Amazon to get it. I may take a second guess if it’s confirmed no roster updates will occur, but until then I’m still going with buying the game as it’s only $15 bucks.

  • 24niner567

49ers roster looks like nobody finalized it.  Spencer at starting CB??  He is literally 4th on the depth chart.  How about Culliver at least?  And Whitner over Goldson?  SMH.

    • Jarod

Another reason there should be a roster update (Aldon Smith should really be in the game). Why not have 3-4 OLBs be DEs in this game (if a team goes to a 4-3 from a
3-4, OLBs and DEs commonly switch positions).

    • Erik Knudsen

Aldon Smith, Chris Culliver, and Dashon Goldson should have been no-brainers…what that says for EA, I can’t confirm

  • Krueger350

    aww theres no Julio Jones…

  • Frank Lorito

Where is Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram for the Saints?

  • Boo7676

No Brian Orakpo or Rex Grossman. (not that I really care about Grossman, I would just rather have Redskins actual starting quarterback, not John Beck.)
