When Amazon dropped the price on NCAA Football 13 to $45 that generated a significant response from consumers as the value of the game subsequently increased greatly. Last year with NCAA 12 and Madden NFL 12 the online retailer offered $20 promotional credits with pre-orders practically achieving the same effect.

Now Madden NFL 13 has essentially been dropped to $45 – though unlike NCAA it is in the form of a promo credit rather than a price drop. After the game ships the $15 will be added to accounts to be used on a future purchase through the site. Release day shipping (have it on your doorstep on August 28) is just $1 or free if a Prime member and many states do not get charged tax on the purchase. Buying through the links below also will help to support the site!

•Xbox 360 Version
•PlayStation 3 Version

Cancellations can be made at any time prior to release without risk of any penalty as Amazon does not charge cards until items ship. It’s also worth noting that those who have already pre-ordered the game at Amazon automatically will get the $15 incentive so there is no need to cancel and reorder to take advantage. The $15 credit is in addition to the Andrew Luck Madden Ultimate Team card and Joe Gibbs and Lawrence Taylor for use in MUT and Connected Careers.

It now makes much more sense to buy the game from Amazon rather than considering a wait for a price drop – Madden 13 probably won’t be found for $45 or less until Black Friday in late November and used copies would not go much lower and still require a $10 “Online Pass” on top of that. Remember that those with EA’s ‘Season Ticket’ will be available to download and play Madden 13 starting on Friday August 24 and that will run through Tuesday morning when a retail copy will be needed to continue.
