Most are still in-season, relevant and strongly supported. Of course there’s a lot more than just the games to contemplate picking up, whether it be for yourself or others, so here’s a roundup of the most enticing deals from various retailers. (more…)...
  • MLB The Show 19 goes free in October
Posted September 24th, 2019 at 7:30 pm No Comments
MLB The Show tends to be the sports series most rigid in its pricing with significant discounts typically not coming until after the season is complete. MLB The Show 19 however is getting the unusual treatment of being a featured game given out to PlayStation Plus members and it's happening in the month when excitement around the sport is at its peak. From October 1st through November 4th those with a PS+ subscription will be able to download the game and keep it for good as long as the m...
  • Deal on NBA 2K20 physical pre-orders
Posted August 28th, 2019 at 7:30 am No Comments
This year's crop of EA Sports games have been discounted leading up to and through release by Amazon. Madden NFL 20, NHL 20, and FIFA 20 have all been offered for just $50.94. Now a new promotion from the online retailer brings NBA 2K20 into line with those others. Rather than the lower price (likely not permitted to by the NBA/2K) Amazon is providing a $10 promotional credit with all physical copies for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Amazon Prime membership is a requirement...
  • Get NBA 2K19 on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for Three Bucks
Posted June 6th, 2019 at 4:30 pm No Comments
NBA 2K19 is currently being sold for the remarkably low price of $2.99 on Xbox One & PlayStation 4. The official Microsoft page updated earlier to the price that almost amounts to giving the game away and Sony has since followed suit. At first this seemed almost certain to be a pricing error. Never has an NBA 2K game been offered for so cheap, on PlayStation 4 it was still listed at $60, the game had yet to drop below $18 in any deal prior, and neither Microsoft nor 2K Sports were pro...

  • Several sports games on PS4 among those on sale with PlayStation Plus
Posted April 23rd, 2019 at 10:00 am No Comments
A new sale on PlayStation 4 for those with a PS+ subscription finds games on sale for as much as 80% off. Among the group are most of the big sports games to have released in 2018. On the Xbox One side of things EA Access offers most of the EA Sports games already in the Vault with a subscription and various deals over the last five months have found the genre's titles at deep discounts. For those with PlayStation 4, which still doesn't have EA Access but is expected to get it later this ...
  • NBA Live 19 has now dropped to $6
Posted February 12th, 2019 at 10:00 am No Comments
It has become the norm for dramatic discounts to be offered on NBA Live given that the series has failed to gain traction in recent years even despite marginal improvement in quality and a few slip-ups from the competition. However it is still wild to see the price of an in-season, and actually in this case mid-season, annual sports title drop this low. NBA Live 19 is available now and for the next week for just $6 digitally on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While NBA Live 19 lacks the ...
