FIFA 13 for the Wii U is out now, though the system doesn’t release until Sunday, and EA Sports is now showing the game off through a new trailer. The game features the ability to use the GamePad to assist with shooting, passing, tackling, free kicks, and making managerial changes.

The Wii U version however is lacking some of the gameplay enhancements introduced on the 360/PS3 this year such as the “First Touch” ball-handling system and also goes without Ultimate Team mode. Basically gameplay wise it may be closer to FIFA 12 but with some of the outside features from FIFA 13 and with the Wii U GamePad abilities added on.¬†Continue on to check out the trailer!¬†

EA Sports always does this. They leave out features on newer consoles. Madden 06 XBOX 360 was missing features from the PS2, XBOX counterparts. Madden 07 on PS3 had the same issues. It’s not new that EA shuns another new console.

  • Dude the wii u is so big. I have nothing against it, I’m not really following it too serious but the size.. jesus.. the size.

I wonder if EA will treat the Wii U like it has the Vita and Wii, and release the exact same game (with just new rosters) again next year on Wii U.

    • Probably depends on how sales are going, whether they decide to invest the resources. Clearly though once the next Xbox and PS4 release those will be the premiere products they concentrate on.

How the hell are they supposed to have high sales when they leave out features!? That make sense…. I highly doubt features are missing in next year’s games either way.

Unless they don’t give a shit about the fans who want a full game for their Wii U.
