Details on fourth patch for MLB The Show 17

Six weeks to the day after release and MLB The Show 17 has received its fourth patch. Online and server related issues are still plaguing it but developers continue to drill down on improving other areas of the game. Earlier updates to MLB 17 delivered some improvements to gameplay, miscellaneous adjustments, plus a few online and uniform fixes. This latest update to the game provides some more gameplay and presentation fixes.

Gameplay

Offline-Specific
♦ Hot zones now correctly appear on first pitch of at-bat with Quick Counts on.
♦ Fixed a warping ball issue following a pick-off attempt.
♦Fixed an issue where the base-covering fielder would be facing the wrong direction after a sacrifice fly relayed into second base.
♦ Road to the Show no longer displays “first at bat” presentation for every Spring Training AB.
♦ Fixed a rare blue screen crash in Road to the Show when loading into a practice session.

Online-Specific
♦ Fixed a crash that could occur when attempting to steal with multiple runners on base.
♦ Shiny helmets are no longer displayed as matte helmets in Diamond Dynasty.
♦Adjustments made to throw urgency following a back pick to first base with the runner attempting to advance to second base.
♦ Item cards will now display as an Events icon if there is an Event in progress and the player is qualified to participate.
♦ Throwing difficulty has been locked to All-Star in Diamond Dynasty games.

Both Offline and Online
♦ Several adjustments to Pulse Pitching interface, cleaning up pitch callout location displays.
♦ Fixed the way Guess Pitch would give inaccurate results if other user was Pulse Pitching.
♦ Corrected issue where Pitch Analysis would not reset properly during Showtrack presentation.

Miscellaneous

♦ Removed the HDR Intensity slider from the options menu.
♦ Adjustments made to various Matt Vasgersian commentary lines.
♦ Adjustments made to Fenway Park and Rogers Centre walls and foul poles to prevent hits from being ruled incorrectly.
♦ Corrected Home Run wall distance marker in Old Yankee Stadium.
♦ Various other minor bug fixes and adjustments throughout the game.
