Sports games always take center stage at Electronic Arts’ annual mid-June press briefing. Those previously linked with E3 instead now represent the kickoff to their own event EA Play. Given the leading soccer, football, and basketball titles are always among the top selling games in both North America and worldwide their high-profile presence should come as no surprise.

Madden NFL 18, FIFA 18, and NBA Live 18 all were prominently featured in this weekend’s EA Play press briefing. Madden had the full reveal of its new story mode to be known as “Long Shot” which has some colleges and big actors involved, FIFA had a look at its sequel to “The Journey” story mode along with some gameplay improvements, and NBA Live introduced a Career Mode called “The One” through its dual trailers.

In this episode of the Press Row Podcast host Bryan Wiedey is joined by Rich Grisham and T.J. Lauerman to go through the news and discuss what it all means for the respective franchises.

2k’s game play has gotten stale on me and I don’t play the My park My career mode.

I wanna play a game that innovates and that’s NBA Live 18.

it doesn’t help beluba patches the game every week and fucks with the shot meter.

Are you serious? There is nothing innovative about NBA Live. They haven’t put out a decent game in a VERY long time. Just as EA always do, they fool the people with impressive screen shots. EA sports is longer a viable competitor in the sports world, besides Fifa. The only reason sell Madden is because the people have no other choice and they really love playing football. EA has failed in college football, ncaa baseball, ncaa college basketball, mlb baseball, UFC, nba basketball, golf and football. They have abandoned the madden SIM crowd for the new MUT crowd, because of the money the MUT crowd continue to spend.

I saw a tweet that clint confirmed that Madden 18 isn’t being shown at EA Play. and Clint basically said because there working out the bugs on the new engine.

Could this years game be buggy and glitchy as hell pasta?
