Madden Mock Draft picks 21-23

The next three teams all made the playoffs last year but couldn’t come away with a win. The Redskins can use help in a couple areas where potential choices would be able to contribute immediately. As to the Cowboys and Steelers their losses in free agency have left them with positions that need to be filled via the draft.
#21 Washington Redskins - Derrick Harvey - DE - Florida
The Redskins can use a pass rushing defensive end and Derrick Harvey is a great guy to have fall to them. Could also have gone with a wide receiver or help in the secondary. But Harvey fills a big need for them as he can provide the boost to the pass rush.
#22 Dallas Cowboys - Aqib Talib - CB - Kansas
A corner is definitely at the top of the list for the Cowboys. If they pull off the trade for Pacman Jones and he gets reinstated (both big ifs) then it may not be as urgent a need but they’d still need depth there. So picking up Talib who should have a decent rating around an 80 makes a lot of sense here. With another pick at #28 there could’ve been a different position taken and then a corner grabbed then, but Talib may not have lasted to #28 while there will still be several options for a running back to replace Julius Jones.
#23 Pittsburgh Steelers - Branden Albert - G - Virginia
The Steelers had major trouble with their offensive line last year and losing Alan Faneca only makes things that much worse. So Albert, considered far and away as the best guard and potentially even as someone who could move to tackle, is a natural fit. He should have a solid rating for a player selected in this area of round one coming in with a rating in the low 80s.

For Buckeye fans, Harvey appears every so often in our heads and is remembered as a nightmare. In the 2007 National Championship game, Harvey dominated the Buckeye line for 3 sacks, 4 tackles, and a fumble recovery. He is a steal for the Redskins at #21. Just ask Troy Smith.
yea that was two years ago he slowed down when d coordinators prepared heavily for him. He will be an average d end in the league

i hope albert is still on the board at 23, if not they will get stewart out of oregon
I think by the Redskins pick at Derrick Harvey will be gone so the Redskins will take Phillip Merling from Clemson, the Cowboys take Felix Jones to be their homerun hitter and the Steelers take Gosder Cherilus from BC the big Offensive Lineman!!
21- I agree on DE. But I have them getting Calais Campbell, Miami. I like them to also favor a WR like Limas Sweed out of Texas.
#22 I agree, they do need a CB, but I believe the Pacman deal comes through. I think the Cowboys are better served here with an OT like Chris Andrews, Vandy and a nice Madden rating. RB picked at #28.

Off subject for a minute why is Derrick Harvey stomach hanging like he has dunlap syndrome. I also have the Redskins either taking Harvey if he’s still on the board or a Safety. Dallas is going to get a RB to back up the starter(his name escapes me now). Yea I see the Steelers picking the O-lineman to help shore up the blocking for Rothlisbuger
If Branden Albert is still there at 21 for the Skins no way they pass up on him. They are said to be very high on him. He’s exactly what they are looking for a versatile lineman who can play Guard and Tackle. No way he makes it to 23 he’ll be a top 10 pick for sure some have him going as high as 5 to the Chiefs.
God i hope Albert is still on the board when the Steelers pick cuz hes great
*I say the Washington Redskins will take Kenny Phillips out of Miami(FL) because of the loss of Sean Taylor.Him and Laron Landry would be killer.
*I believe the Dallas Cowboys take Felix Jones Because of the loss of Julius Jone and i don’t think Marion Barber can carry all the load.Plus Mcfadden,Mendenhall,and Stewart would be gone.
*I think the pittburgh Steelers take Jeffery Otah out of Pitt because of the loss of Alan Faneca.He will give Ben Roethlesberger more time and bump up the rushing yards.
