These final five picks concludes the Madden Mock Draft with only a recap of the entire mock still to come. With the exception of the 49ers all of these teams will go into the game next year as powerhouses. Despite that they can still capitalize on their picks and improve their status in Madden through them.

The Titans, Seahawks, and Jaguars are now up in the Madden Mock Draft. Tennessee has several areas where they could use immediate help while the other two teams are pretty well set at the majority of positions but could use either an additional playmaker or some depth.

The next three teams all made the playoffs last year but couldn’t come away with a win. The Redskins can use help in a couple areas where potential choices would be able to contribute immediately. As to the Cowboys and Steelers their losses in free agency have left them with positions that need to be filled via the draft.

We’ve reached the mid-point in the Madden Mock Draft with picks 15 through 17. The Lions and Cardinals are constant underachievers that could make a move towards contention and the Vikings actually overachieved last year but still have some major weaknesses. Who will they select for Madden that could help them the most?

Three teams that began last season thought to be playoff contenders come up now in the Madden Mock Draft. The Broncos, Panthers, and Bears will look to take players that could patch weaknesses and propel them back into contention. After three straight defensive players were taken previously these teams look for offensive help.

We’ve now reached picks 9 through 11 in the Madden Mock Draft. Again we are in an area where team needs take precedence as ratings are going to be comparable between most of the players that can be considered. The Bengals, Saints, and Bills are up and all address areas of weakness with their picks. All three teams go defense here.

After the selections of Jake Long and Chris Long as the first players to go in the Madden Mock Draft it brings up the Falcons, Raiders, and Chiefs. While the first two picks were relatively easy to make it now starts to get a little more cloudy as to who would make the biggest impact on each team for this year.

There are certain types of players that are more valuable than others in Madden. There are also specific rookies or positions which would offer the most immediate help to a team in the game. I’ll be detailing some of those considerations throughout the Pastapadre Madden 09 Mock Draft.
Leading up to the actual NFL Draft on April 26th-27th I’ll be posting selections for each team in the first round on a semi-regular basis that represent the players who would be chosen to most help the team immediately and over the course of the season in the game.
