Its been nearly two years since the end of the sixth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It returns with the premiere of the seventh season on Sunday, September 20th at 9PM on HBO.

It is rare for TV shows to make me laugh out loud even if they’re funny, but Curb has consistently done that throughout its run. I often times find myself agreeing with Larry David and totally understanding his initial opinion and position. He just can’t ever let things go and it always gets him into difficult situations. The show holds up really well and I’ve found myself enjoying episodes just as much the second and third time through. For a  couple classic episodes check out “Shaq” from season two and “Krazee Eyez Killa” from season three.

Last season saw his marriage break down after the introduction of the Black family who Larry and Cheryl took in after Hurricane Katrina. The interaction between Larry and Leon Black and the development of their friendship was especially hilarious. The ending of the season almost felt like a cliff-hanger given it wasn’t clear whether it was a dream sequence or not but it appears what happened were real events.

Season seven has gotten a lot of publicity because the main storyline centers around a Seinfeld reunion. Larry David was the creator and head writer for Seinfeld before moving on to create and star in Curb. This is the closest thing to a real reunion Seinfeld will ever see, as the four main cast members will make appearances in multiple episodes this season. Larry will be working to coordinate and produce the reunion show within the main arch for the season.
