TNT has a pretty good track-record with their original programming. Series such as The Closer, Leverage, Hawthorne, and Saving Grace have contributed to the success and maturity of the cable channel. Raising the Bar appeared to be another hit when it debuted with a then record 7.7 million viewers. However when the second season premiered with only 3.8 million that was considered a disappointment and the ratings throughout the season did not recover. Yesterday TNT announced that they have canceled the series however there are three unaired episodes that will likely be shown in March.

Next Monday brings about the premiere of TNT’s next original series Men of a Certain Age. They have been marketing it heavily over the past several months and are expecting big things out of it. The network also picked up Southland after it was dropped by NBC.
