Top DVD Sales and Rentals for Week Ending April 4, 2010

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel was surprisingly the top selling movie last week. I say surprising because the movie is terrible. The film only scored a 20% rating on Rottentomatoes.com, making it ‘rotten’. Even though it is a ‘family’ film, I thought Sherlock Holmes would have sold the most. The film, which stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, was second in sales but was the top renting DVD last week. After spending a couple of weeks at the top of the sales chart, The Twilight Saga: New Moon fell to third. Below is the list of DVD sales and rentals for the week ending April 4, 2010:
