The Line Drive is a weekly collection of news, links, and updates that didn’t necessarily warrant their own postings.

• A Strikeforce event will be taking place on June 16th in LA to coincide with E3. That is a strong indication that EA Sports MMA will be heavily promoted at the gaming convention. Whether it will be playable on the show floor is still unknown.

• A new community Q&A blog has been posted for UFC Undisputed 2010 which discusses aspects of the game such as attribute updates during over course of the year (I hesitate to call it a roster update since the actual roster of fighters won’t change).

• A couple more new mascots for NCAA Football 11 with Syracuse’s “Otto the Orange” and Cal’s “Oski the Bear”. Images can be found in the gallery.

• Logan Lerman Top Choice for Spider-Man. The Percy Jackson actor is the front-runner to play Peter Parker in the franchise reboot.

• Trailer for The Other Guys. Hilarious first trailer for the Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg comedy.

• Universal and Fox Delayed With Netflix. More movie studios forcing the 28 day wait period before allowing the movies to be available for rent.

• Trailer for Splice. Sci-Fi movie starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley.

• Harrison Ford Joins Cowboys & Aliens. Will star along with Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde in the Jon Favreau sci-fi western.

• Dinner for Schmucks Trailer. Comedy starring Paul Rudd and Steve Carell.

• Third Trailer for Nightmare on Elm Street. Releasing at the end of the month.

• First Trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife. Filmed using the same 3D tech featured in Avatar.
