Amazon Actively Soliciting Scripts for Their Own Original Programming

As Amazon continues to build up its streaming service, which comes as part of the ‘Prime’ package, it will be following in the footsteps of their competitors Netflix and Hulu by rolling out their own original content. Amazon will be developing its own programming (sitcom or childrens) through a process of accepting scripts and choosing the ones they like the most to produce. They’ll be paying out $10,000 to option scripts and $55,000 for those that are green-lit. Find out all about the process here.
