    Showtime has announced that Californication has been picked up for a fifth season. The series has been a consistent winner for the network and the current showrunner believes there is no end in sight and they'll keep it going as long as they can.     Sunday was a big night for premieres as NBC debuted The Cape, Fox rolled out a new animated series Bob's Burgers, and Showtime kicked off Shameless and Episodes along with the fourth season of Californication. The superhero themed series The Cape drew decent ratings with 8.6 million viewers and a 2.6 18-49 rating. Those numbers aren't great but for struggling NBC it is a good showing.     Having just kicked off its third season the Showtime series Californication has already been renewed for a fourth. The show stars David Duchovny as a (sometimes) successful writer with a sex addiction and has been consistently picking up viewers. The third season premiere drew the highest ratings in series history and was up nearly 60% over the previous season opener.
