The mode involves eight current stars and legends from the past who put together their ideal lineup of five players (including themselves). NBA Live troubles continue for EA Sports who have apparently delayed Live 15 until October 28. The new date appears on the game's official website - which previously promoted the original October 7 date - without the company actually making a corresponding announcement (it has since come down).  (more…)...

One month ago 2K Sports announced a new highly-customizable offline association mode known as MyLeague for NBA 2K15. Now the company is talking about its carry-over MyGM mode which replaced the more traditional association mode last year by attempting to add more life to the management duties but stumbled with the misguided implementation of Virtual Currency that hampered the experience all throughout 2K14. Big changes are in store with 2K15 and none less crucial than the reduction of th...

With just five weeks until release EA Sports appears finally ready to begin promoting NBA Live 15 with a debut trailer focusing on the visuals and the first feature details. Improvements in visuals are just about the only thing the company discussed this summer and until now they didn't show much to try and back it up. Even still this first substantial news on features is only accompanied by 39 seconds worth of trailer. With zero credibility and having let down the few who were actually wil...

2K Sports today released the first trailer for NBA 2K15. The game is right in line with the typical marketing schedule which has produced trailers in the past in late August. Gameplay videos out of Gamescom and a new super-customizable offline franchise mode are all that has really been revealed to date. The trailer includes the usual flash but more notably the presence of a studio show featuring Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal. ComplexEmbed.Application.initialize({cId: "VseDJ1bzrViJTB...
  • Gameplay Videos Out of Gamescom

    Posted August 16th, 2014 at 2:30 pm 12 Comments »
A number of off-screen videos have emerged from Gamescom for NBA 2K15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, and PES 2015. It's bizarre that companies allow such unflattering footage like these videos present to become what for many is the first impression of how the games look and play, when they could put out a high quality polished video under their own control that highlights improvements. However it hasn't seemed to do any harm in the past considering this is the nature in which NBA 2K's first gameplay has ...

  • O’Bannon Wins Case Against NCAA
    by

The judge in O'Bannon v. NCAA has ruled that the NCAA violates anti-trust laws by preventing players from being paid for their name and likenesses. This does not appear to be a ruling however that threatens the core of the NCAA - one in which some surmised a more devastating ruling could bring down the organization entirely. It's certainly far from the worst case scenario for them. That could be a good thing for the future of college sports video games depending on how the NCAA attempts t...
