The release of a trailer last week for NBA 2K20 provided some visual clues as to the improvements coming to gameplay but today 2K Sports went into great detail on the work that has been done. The demo now just over two weeks away will provide an opportunity to experience many of the changes which include 27 styles of ball handlers, balancing to sprinting, off-ball jukes, and much more. It had become apparent in recent weeks that something was going on with NBA Live 20. Despite a nearing release date the game had not been officially announced or made available for preorder. Additionally the NBA Live website had been been completely scrubbed and contained only a single static non-game image and a roster update with next season's transactions was pushed out in Live 19 which typically would have been held for the next edition. The reasoned speculation was put to rest today ...

  • Serious concerns raised amid frustration over NBA 2K19’s unskippable ads

One would think that publishers would be laying low right now on the the monetization front with pressure from legislators that could potentially lead to the banning of any form of in-game monetization. Despite that Take Two and 2K Sports especially have always pushed the boundaries more than others and another example of that has reached mainstream status. Frustration has grown and manifested itself in massive discussion threads at Reddit, all over social media, and with articles on a nu...
  • Get NBA 2K19 on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for Three Bucks

NBA 2K19 is currently being sold for the remarkably low price of $2.99 on Xbox One & PlayStation 4. The official Microsoft page updated earlier to the price that almost amounts to giving the game away and Sony has since followed suit. At first this seemed almost certain to be a pricing error. Never has an NBA 2K game been offered for so cheap, on PlayStation 4 it was still listed at $60, the game had yet to drop below $18 in any deal prior, and neither Microsoft nor 2K Sports were pro...

The third EA Sports game from 2018 has reached the Vault in EA Access. NBA Live 19 is now available in full to all subscribers. This follows the temporary drop in price last month to just $6 on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. EA Access is currently exclusive to Xbox One with Sony declining to offer the service on PS4 despite its remarkable value. EA executives have hinted that could change possibly this year however. For $30 a year or $5 month-to-month, members get unlimited access to th...

It has become the norm for dramatic discounts to be offered on NBA Live given that the series has failed to gain traction in recent years even despite marginal improvement in quality and a few slip-ups from the competition. However it is still wild to see the price of an in-season, and actually in this case mid-season, annual sports title drop this low. NBA Live 19 is available now and for the next week for just $6 digitally on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While NBA Live 19 lacks the ...
