On Saturday he posted the image above and accompanied that with the hashtags "#youvewaitedlongenough" and "#joemontanafootball16". by Brendan Wilhide iOOTP ‘14 ($5 in the iOS App Store) is the latest version of the popular Out of the Park Baseball game for iOS devices. The game allows you to pick up and play the 2014 MLB season, replay a historical season, or create a fictional universe with its own teams, players, and rules. Longtime players will feel right at home thanks to a nearly identical look and feel from previous games. The features are all there, too, including the ability to pick up and play with real M...

For the first time an Android version is in the works and that is expected to release this summer.  (more…)...
  • Major Issues Being Reported With iOS Version of RBI Baseball 14
    by
    Posted April 11th, 2014 at 6:45 pm 6 Comments »
Though RBI Baseball was designed as a mobile game first the iOS version appears to be severely troubled. That's not good news for a game that is already perceived to be overpriced at $5. Poor reviews have poured in and a large number of complaints are being seen on social media. Many users are reporting crashing of the game - and though it seems to be at a higher rate with iPads it's also affecting those with iPod touch and iPhones. Some people have not even been able to load into a game ...
  • RBI Baseball 14 Now Available on Last-Gen Consoles and iOS

    Posted April 9th, 2014 at 11:00 am 5 Comments »
RBI Baseball 14, the resurrection of the 1986-1995 series coming from MLB Advanced Media, has arrived for iOS devices and as a digital download on Xbox 360 and PS3. Though outrageously priced at $20 for consoles and $5 on mobile, considering how thin the game is on content, it hopes to tap into nostalgia and deliver some fun factor as an arcade entry into a market that has become largely devoid of them. RBI Baseball 14 will also be out for Xbox One, PS4, and Android in May or June. Comple...

Out of the Park Baseball 15 will release on April 18 for those who pre-order the PC management sim and go wide to all on the 21st. It can still be pre-ordered to get the early access. It will also be available through Steam, Amazon, and the Mac App Store at a later date. The mobile version of the game, iOOTP 14, will be out on the app store around April 17 with that date dependent on the approval process. New features were announced earlier this year and include changes to the ratings sy...
  • RBI Baseball 14 Releasing This Week for $20 on Last-Gen Consoles and $5 Mobile

    Posted April 8th, 2014 at 10:00 am 11 Comments »
RBI Baseball 14 will release as a digital download on PSN for PS3 and XBLA for Xbox 360 on Wednesday. Xbox One, PS4, and Android versions are expected to arrive in May. MLB Advanced Media has treated RBI 14 very much like they would any mobile game by not offering much in the way of details or media prior to release and the lack of it resulted in the complete dissipation of the hype from when it was initially announced in January. As far as the price goes the Xbox 360 and PS3 digital down...
  • The Flappy Phenomenon Infiltrates Golf

Posted April 5th, 2014 at 2:30 pm No Comments »
Though it may not qualify as a pure sports game Super Stickman Golf and its sequel have been recognized for being among the most fun games for mobile devices. The developers of SSG, Noodlecake Studios, recently released a spin-off called that goes by two different names: Flappy Golf for iOS and Golfy Bird for Android. As the names would suggest it takes elements from the insanely popular (at least for a few weeks before the creator pulled it from the store) Flappy Bird and combines it wit...
  • Mobile Review: NBA Rush
    by
Posted March 15th, 2014 at 3:15 pm No Comments »
by Brendan Wilhide In the freemium iOS game NBA Rush, you control an NBA star and fight back against an alien invasion using dunks, crossovers and sprints. This arcade game is short on story but long on the “just one more turn” feeling and that’s a good thing for casual fans looking to kill a few minutes. The game itself is slight variation on the runner genre--you control a player as they run through the environment, dodging obstacles, collecting coins for points and taking out al...
