Pre-Order Deals for Fight Night Champion
One of the complaints surrounding Fight Night Round 4 was the tumultuous pre-release experience due to various pre-order deals and demo release dates. Tying in the demo with pre-orders turned out to be a massive mistake that stunted momentum and created confusion. Essentially there were three different demo dates dependent on whether it was pre-ordered at Gamestop and which system was in question. Thankfully it doesn't appear that EA Sports will be taking a similar route with Fight Night Champ...

No Motion Control for Fight Night Champion
The recently announced Fight Night Champion will not carry Xbox Kinect or Playstation Move implementation according to an interview with Eurogamer. While the possibility of a motion control based boxing game remains for the future it won't be done through Fight Night Champion.
"It's a little bit too twitch-based, not to mention the fact that standing on your feet for three minutes and throwing punches is something that, believe it or not, might be beyond the fitness level of most gamers!"

#10 of 2009: Fight Night Round 4
The ranking of games in the best of 2009 list is based primarily on the personal amount of enjoyment had with a particular title. Some other factors include whether advertised features were fully delivered on, post-release support, community interaction and communication, overall gameplay experience, feature set, and online play performance. Again this is a personal take on the games. The analysis is weighted largely towards those which I had the most fun with while considering them as a who...

Recently EA Sports pulled the latest downloadable content for Fight Night Round 4 known as the "Champions Pack 2" from the Xbox 360 Marketplace. This was after consumers who downloaded it reported it was causing consoles to freeze. The initial word was that it would be fixed, resubmitted, and hopefully available once again before Christmas.
Earlier tonight though in a statement on the game's official forum an updated plan was laid out. A patch to fix an exploit will be coming in mid-late ...

July 09 Sales Numbers
The NCAA Football series has shown minimal growth on the 360 even as the user base has increased over the last couple years, though on the PS3 side it has been showing marginal improvement. Either way it hasn't been an encouraging pattern as it almost seems as though sales of a college football game have peaked with them presenting very little interest to anyone outside of that group that already gets it. Certainly the total number of sales has declined as the PS2 has dropped off more than t...
