Server issues have dominated discussion related to NBA 2K15 since it released last week. Not only have modes like MyPark and MyTeam failed to work properly in part due to the servers, and online games affected by troublesome input lag, but modes that would be considered by most as offline like MyCareer and MyGM have been impacted. Today 2K Sports announced that a patch has been submitted to Sony and Microsoft that will at least address some of the related issues.

Specifically the tweet from 2K notes it will address “being booted off MyPark”. That mode has suffered from connectivity problems, as well as instances where games don’t start and users get soft-locked in the “Got Next” spots, players that go invisible, and the game outright crashing. The patch is expected to be out within the next week.

NBA Live 15 is due out in under two weeks and in just eight days it’ll be made available through EA Access on Xbox One. Most wouldn’t really know it though with the lack of promotion it has received and all attention going towards the competition. EA has largely shielded Live 15 from consumer. Rather than show off gameplay they’ve pushed screenshots and information like player ratings, team rankings and the soundtrack.  Read more

MyCareer is the most popular mode in the NBA 2K series and for good reason. Starting in 2K14 it became more of a story mode than a standard career mode and has benefited greatly from that by providing a uniquely compelling experience that is unmatched in the genre. In 2K15 there’s a brand new storyline which will click with some, various improvements and additions made, and some areas where it could really use some work.  Read more

EA Sports has released the full list of songs that are included in NBA Live 15. The soundtrack has been put together by MICK who was also involved with Live 14. No promises have been made that new songs will be added throughout the season – as was the case with Live 14 and never fulfilled – but it wouldn’t be surprising if it were to happen this time around.

You can listen to the playlist through Soundcloud here. The soundtrack is made up of mostly unknowns and that could be refreshing considering how many people now just immediately want to turn off all the music in sports games.  Read more

As difficult as it may be for many to stomach the Dallas Cowboys are playing like the best team in the NFL right now. They should see widespread upgrades in the next Madden NFL 15 roster update on both sides of the ball. That upward trend may continue to build for weeks to come as they have a pretty soft schedule going forward.

Players to look for on the rise this week include Joe Flacco, Brian Hoyer, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Jay Cutler, DeMarco Murray, Branden Oliver, Antonio Brown, T.Y. Hilton, Mohamed Sanu, Marshal Yanda, Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, Ezekial Ansah, Jason Hatcher, Whitney Mercilus, and Rolando McClain. Among those that are likely to fall are Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, Justin Pugh, Jake Matthews, Gosder Cherilus, Manny Ramirez, Robert Quinn, Vontaze Burfict, Cortland Finnegan, and Antoine Cason.
