Date Night has the star power to drive a comedy of this nature, with a uniquely strong appeal to both males and females. Steve Carell and Tina Fey are well liked and they both have a history of being able to open films....

Coming off an exceptional opening for Shutter Island it will face some competition for the top spot this time around. The comedy Cop Out and the horror remake The Crazies arrive this weekend. Starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan the buddy cop comedy Cop Out hopes to be a fun option for moviegoers. The stars appeal to different demographics which should provide increased potential at the box office. Reviews have been horrible, which should have some impact, but probably will not hurt the o...

Only one new film enters the marketplace this weekend as Shutter Island looks to capture the top spot at the box office. If you haven't already make sure to check out my review. It will have to fend off the strong performers from last weekend but seems primed to take away the crown from Valentine's Day. When Shutter Island was moved back from October of last year it was done to give it breathing room, place the studio in a position to fully support it (including a potential Oscar run), and ...
