Lionsgate continues rolling out restricted material for Kick-Ass. As I've written about in past articles they are faced with the necessity of displaying the nature of the film which is explicit with language and violence. That hasn't come across well in the advertising for general audiences however the restricted clips and most recently the red band international trailer have delivered it much better. As the release of Kick-Ass grows nearer the question still remains how it will be marketed. Based on the comic book about regular people with no powers acting as superheroes it has become one of the most buzzed about movies on the horizon. The buzz surrounding Kick-Ass is off the charts so it will be interesting to see the build up and how the marketing is handled as its April 16th r...

Last month the first trailer for Kick-Ass hit theaters. The reaction to it from those unfamiliar with the comic book wasn't overwhelming since it didn't really get across the R-rated and graphic nature that makes it unique. Buzz on the film is off the charts however. Just last week it was screened at BNAT along with other movies including Shutter Island and Avatar. Those two got hugely positive response but it was Kick-Ass named the big winner and discussion on Twitter about it has been spre...
