    As I have been doing with the latest releases the first thing I compare on a new game is the performance differences on the 360 when running the game from the disc vs installed to the hard drive. Once again it's important to reiterate that loading time is not the only benefit of installing to the hard drive.     Something I've done in that past that has been popular is taking a look at the differences in games on the 360 when played from disc vs the hard drive. Installing to the HDD has shown performance improvements in the games as well as cutting down on the stress to and noise from the console.     When the NXE update for the 360 came out back in November I analyzed the benefits that were seen when installing games and playing them from the hard drive. You can check out those results here. That was apparently a popular feature as I have received numerous requests to do the same with MLB 2K9. While I can't speak yet to any marginal performance improvements that may or may not come with the install I did compare loading times for the game when played with the disc vs the hard drive. ...

    One of the anticipated elements to the New Xbox Experience (NXE) is the ability to install the games to the hard drive. While the disc is still required to be in the 360 while playing, drawing from the hard drive is supposed to put less strain on the hardware as well as decrease loading times as the disc isn't spinning or being read. So I thought I would go through and experiment with some of the more recent sports titles to see what if any effect is had by installing the game to the hard...
