The fourth content update for NBA Playgrounds went out today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version has still received only the very first patch. This update brings another 45 players to the roster taking the total added post-release to 128. Additionally a new expansion pack called "Hot 'N Frosty" is being offered for $10 and includes eight rookies, three new playgrounds and tournaments. Between this DLC and the full roster unlock the price to have the complete ...
  • Complete game played in NBA 2K18 MyLeague

Though only hours remain until release there will likely be few (if any) reviews ready to go live for NBA 2K18 right at launch. Between a shortage of time to dig into arguably the deepest sports game ever made, and a need to assess server performance given that many of the features rely on being connected online, my review for instance will probably be complete on Monday instead. With that in mind, and having spent time between MyGM and MyCareer primarily up until this point, I figured it...

The Journey story mode, played by over 12 million people last year, naturally received a strong push for its sequel in FIFA 18 earlier at EA Play and it's getting another now. A large cast of soccer greats cameo or play larger roles as Alex Hunter experiences the challenges that now come with being a star. Those names include FIFA 18's cover athlete Cristiano Ronaldo and even crossing over is the cover athlete for NBA Live 18 James Harden.  (more…)...

2K Sports today revealed the new open world structure for NBA 2K18 in which MyPlayers will reside. In a sense it's reminiscent of Take Two's (parent company of 2K Sports) own GTA Online, as the neighborhood connects NBA 2K modes that previously were isolated on their own - MyCareer, The Park, and 2K Pro-Am along with actual storefronts for player customization. ...
  • Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett are special guest commentators in NBA 2K18

Last year in NBA 2K17 the pool of contributing voices during and around the games expanded to 11. The booth consisted of Kevin Harlan and a group of rotating analysts that included Chris Webber, Steve Smith, Doris Burke, Brent Barry, Greg Anthony, and Clark Kellogg. Sideline reporting was handled by David Aldridge and the Inside the NBA crew Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith held down the studio show. For NBA 2K18 two more former players will be found in the booth, as Kob...
