NHL 17 trailer provides the first look at the World Cup of Hockey
The introduction of a mode dedicated to the World Cup of Hockey was one of the first pieces of news to hit related to NHL 17 and the feature was even floated in a consumer survey back in 2014. Full details on Franchise Mode in NHL 17

Cities available for relocation in NHL 17
One of the big new features for Franchise Mode in NHL 17 is team relocation. Be a GM will offer the opportunity to move a team to a new city and 19 of them have now been revealed. Cities vary in size of the market, fan engagement, stadium funding percentage, and interest in the team which will presumably play a role in whether relocation is accepted by the league. The NHL 17 online beta has been extended through the weekend
The online beta for NHL 17 that began last week had been scheduled to come to an end today. Predictably though EA Sports has announced it'll continue through the weekend and come to a close at 10AM PT on Monday. The beta for NHL 16 was extended in the exact same manner. The extra weekend will provide additional opportunities to collect and act on feedback. The NHL 17 online beta has gone live
The online beta for NHL 17 is now up and running on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, one day earlier than had been originally scheduled. Emails have gone out to those who signed up for it when open from late June through mid-July containing codes for the 19.2 GB download.
