‘Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall’ Officially Greenlit
Mark Millar has revealed on BBC radio that the sequel Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall has been officially greenlit. Bleedingcool.com has the report. The estimate is Kick-Ass will do 100 to 150 million on DVD based on the American sales, you know, so it'll end up making a quarter of a billion on a 28 million investment. So It should be okay. After two dreadful weeks of releases, things pick up a little this week. While the week may not be spectacular, one movie stands out as one you should surely see. Harry Brown stars Michael Caine as a fed up citizen who becomes a vigilante. Think a British Gran Torino sans the blatant racism. For those who enjoyed the remake of the Karate Kid, the news of a sequel should excite you. Once again it's another slow week for releases. Lost fans can look forward to the series coming out on Blu-ray. On the movie side the only movie that I saw on the list was The Back-up Plan. I'd pass on this romantic comedy since it's just like every other one that is out there. Not to mention it only received a 20% on Rottentomatoes.com.
