    The EA Sports 'Season Ticket' subscription plan offers the opportunity to download and play five different titles three days before they arrive in stores along with a 20% discount on DLC on top of that for $25. Reactions toward the program have ranged from disdain to indifference or acceptance. One thing obviously lacking is any enthusiasm - maybe extending those three days out to a week or so would have made it more appealing on the surface.  (more…)...

    Last week EA Sports announced the 'Season Ticket' - a yearly subscription plan that will provide three day early access to five different titles and a bonus 20% off DLC purchases for $25. I went ahead and broke down the package coming to the conclusion that there isn't great value being offered but the early access will likely be enough to tempt many into paying.     The EA Sports 'Season Ticket' was announced earlier this week and to no surprise the initial reaction towards the subscription plan was largely negative. Though in and of itself the offering may be intriguing and is relatively inoffensive - what it represents for the future is what seems to bother consumers the most.
