    Posted November 24th, 2015 at 9:00 am 6 Comments Ľ
Just about a month ago a patch for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour added a fantasy course and Dustin Johnson along with making some improvements to the game. A new update that comes in at 5.2GB has gone out today¬†that introduces more content to McIlroy PGA Tour. The second real-world course to make it in post-release is Quail Hollow while¬†Henrik Stenson joins the roster. Four new offline Play Now modes make their debut.¬† (more…)...
  • New fantasy course and golfer added today to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour

Support for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which released without nearly enough content to justify its price, hasn't been all that inspiring. Until today one real-world course had been added since mid-July, and a promise has been made to deliver a few new courses, golfers, and play now modes by the end of March. Now though the first of that upcoming content has arrived. Treasure Island, a new fantasy course, and Dustin Johnson have been added in a free update today on both PlayStation 4 and Xbo...

Three months have now passed since Rory McIlroy PGA Tour released and to this point EA Sports has only added a single course to the game. The company has not abandoned it however, and now they've detailed plans for free content they'll be adding in the months ahead: two golfers, a handful¬†of courses, and new ways to play.¬† (more…)...

There are now ten licensed courses in the game plus four fantasy courses. It took over two months from release for the first new course to make it to the game. East Lake Golf Club is the addition and it's available to use within all modes.¬† (more…)...
  • Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will get one new course in late September
    Posted July 27th, 2015 at 12:45 pm 14 Comments Ľ
More surprising than the lack of courses and golfers in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour has been EA Sports' failure to detail any post-release support plans for the game. Sales of McIlroy were dramatically affected, mostly due to having only eight licensed courses, yet it took until two weeks after release for the company to announce anything to do with additional content. The first info has come now and it's underwhelming to say the least. One new course is on the way for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour...

  • Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Impressions
    Posted July 11th, 2015 at 10:15 am 30 Comments Ľ
The inevitability of having to move on from Tiger Woods after such a long relationship put EA Sports in a position where they felt it necessary to take the rebooted PGA Tour series in a totally different direction. Rory McIlroy PGA Tour has aimed at appealing to a more "casual" consumer. Gone are healthy lineups of licensed courses and golfers, and nods to history of the sport. In their place are arcade-elements like fantasy courses and over-the-top mini-games. Over two years have passe...
