The latest roster update for MLB The Show 16 looks to be a course correction for a number of players who have disappointed this season or are far exceeding expectations. There are also some new cards for Diamond Dynasty that will be among the most desired in the mode. Giancarlo Stanton has plummeted going down 6 points to 87 Overall. What had been an excessively overdue need for a change to his ratings, which hadn't been touched at all this season, was pointed out last week. It's a crushi...

It's starting to become a little more difficult to determine exactly what's going on with the roster updates to MLB The Show 16. There are players who have clearly needed to drop for a long time who haven't, and others who long ago earned upgrades but continue to be ignored. One example of the former is Giancarlo Stanton. He has remained at 93 Overall all season despite batting .193 and he's getting worse by the month. He hit .173 in May and .116 through the first half of June. Someon...

The latest roster update has just gone out for MLB The Show 16. In moving up 3 points to 87 Overall, Corey Seager is one of the big winners this week. He's batting .283 with 14 HR on the year and has been given boosts of 14 to Clutch, 12 to Power vs Righties, and 6 to both Contact vs Lefties and Power vs Righties. The increases haven't been limited to when he's at the plate though, as he's also gone up 9 in Arm Strength, 8 in Arm Accuracy, and 3 in Fielding. Evan Longoria has also recei...

There's lots of ratings movement in today's roster update for MLB The Show 16. Bryce Harper is the highest rated player to be adjusted, and after reaching peak 99 Overall just one month ago he's now down to 97. He hit just .200 in the month of May and his Contact ratings in the game have suffered for it. Meanwhile Dodgers phenom pitcher Julio Urias has been added to the game and is rated 75 with A Potential. Other players taking ratings hits this week include David Price (-1 to 93), Feli...

Some big name starting pitchers have taken a hit to their ratings with the latest roster update for MLB The Show 16. Matt Harvey, Sonny Gray, and Dallas Keuchel have struggled mightily early this season and their attributes are now beginning to reflect that. Harvey is one of the players that has disappointed the most this year. He's 3-7 with a 6.08 ERA and 1.69 WHIP. After opening MLB 16 with a rating of 94 he has now dropped to 88. Gray is now down 5 points from where he began the sea...

The latest roster update for MLB The Show 16 went out early this morning. The biggest movers are those on the way down, with some big name players taking a major hit to their attributes. Joey Votto has plummeted to 90 Overall which drops him out of the Diamond tier, having lost considerable points in Vision and both Contact and Power categories. He's batting just .215 on the season and on pace for nearly 180 strikeouts. Justin Upton fell 8 points to 77 though a portion of that is just ...

There's a new roster update out for MLB The Show 16 for this week and some big-name players have received ratings adjustments. Benefiting the most from the update is Robinson Cano (+3 to 91) having played at an MVP level so far this season. He leads the league in RBIs (33) and is second in home runs (12). He rose 19 points in Power vs Righties, 8 points in Vision, and 6 points in Power vs Lefties. However he also lost 17 points in Plate Discipline and inexplicably fell by 9 points in Fi...
