Some big name starting pitchers have taken a hit to their ratings with the latest roster update for MLB The Show 16. Matt Harvey, Sonny Gray, and Dallas Keuchel have struggled mightily early this season and their attributes are now beginning to reflect that. Harvey is one of the players that has disappointed the most this year. He's 3-7 with a 6.08 ERA and 1.69 WHIP. After opening MLB 16 with a rating of 94 he has now dropped to 88. Gray is now down 5 points from where he began the sea...

The latest roster update for MLB The Show 16 went out early this morning. The biggest movers are those on the way down, with some big name players taking a major hit to their attributes. Joey Votto has plummeted to 90 Overall which drops him out of the Diamond tier, having lost considerable points in Vision and both Contact and Power categories. He's batting just .215 on the season and on pace for nearly 180 strikeouts. Justin Upton fell 8 points to 77 though a portion of that is just ...

There's a new roster update out for MLB The Show 16 for this week and some big-name players have received ratings adjustments. Benefiting the most from the update is Robinson Cano (+3 to 91) having played at an MVP level so far this season. He leads the league in RBIs (33) and is second in home runs (12). He rose 19 points in Power vs Righties, 8 points in Vision, and 6 points in Power vs Lefties. However he also lost 17 points in Plate Discipline and inexplicably fell by 9 points in Fi...

The fourth in-season roster update has gone out for MLB The Show 16 and for the first time this year it contains some significant ratings movement. The third in-season roster update went out today for MLB The Show 16. While there were a number of ratings changes, very few of them affected upper-tier players. Only one name previously rated above an 84 moved up. After throwing his second no-hitter, Chicago Cubs' pitcher Jake Arrieta was bumped a point to 96, though it would seem justifiable for him and Bryce Harper to be all the way up at 99 now rather than a few points away still.  (more…)...

In the second update, which went out today, more rookies have been introduced into the game. After being left out last week, Dae-Ho Lee has made his way into the game, however for some reason placed on the Mariners' AA team rather than the MLB squad. The highest rated new rookie is Brett Nicholas of the Rangers, while Mallex Smith and Nomar Mazara are the o...
