Bryce Harper has moved up to a 99 Overall after a fantastic April in which he hit .286 with 9 home runs and 24 RBI. Zack Greinke has gone the opposite direction, dropping down to 91 after going 2-2 in 6 starts with a 5.50 ERA.  (more…)...
  • MLB The Show 16 week three roster update

The third in-season roster update went out today for MLB The Show 16. While there were a number of ratings changes, very few of them affected upper-tier players. Only one name previously rated above an 84 moved up. After throwing his second no-hitter, Chicago Cubs' pitcher Jake Arrieta was bumped a point to 96, though it would seem justifiable for him and Bryce Harper to be all the way up at 99 now rather than a few points away still.  (more…)...

The first in-season roster update for MLB The Show 16 was primarily utilized to add in rookies who had made their Major League debut. In the second update, which went out today, more rookies have been introduced into the game. After being left out last week, Dae-Ho Lee has made his way into the game, however for some reason placed on the Mariners' AA team rather than the MLB squad. The highest rated new rookie is Brett Nicholas of the Rangers, while Mallex Smith and Nomar Mazara are the o...

  • Stephen Curry’s season now trails only peak Michael Jordan for best ever in NBA 2K16
    Posted March 3rd, 2016 at 5:45 am 13 Comments »
It's been such a remarkable season for Steph Curry that developers are struggling to find a way to fit what he does into simulation video games and there are no simple solutions for how to deal with him. In NBA 2K16 he reached 99 ratings in both three-point shooting categories earlier this year but even that isn't close to doing him justice. Today Curry rose a point to 98 Overall in NBA 2K16. That establishes him to be playing, at this point in time, at a level only exceeded in history by...

While 2K Sports tries to figure out what to do with Stephen Curry, which has proven to be a real dilemma for the developers, the regular roster updates for the game have continued with ratings adjustments taking place for players across the league. Aaron Gordon, who wowed at the Dunk Contest a couple weeks ago, received a 10 point upgrade in the Driving Dunk attribute. Prior to the update he had been rated in a tie with 15 other players as just the 17th best dunker in the game. At a rati...
