    The release of the Xbox One X is now under two weeks away. Beyond just the capability of producing stunning visuals with 4K and HDR, games will be enhanced through faster loading times and have the opportunity for improved framerates and textures.   • NBA 2K18 tops sales in absurdly competitive sports gaming month

    Sales results for September in North America are out via NPD and the sports games made their presence felt as they do every year. In a month with ridiculous competition within the genre NBA 2K18 finished second, Madden NFL 18 right behind it in third, FIFA 18 came in fourth, and NHL 18 was eighth.     Independent developers have helped to bring back unique takes on various sports in recent years and now soccer is next in line to get a much-needed injection of arcade-style fun.     Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 received it's first data pack and post-release patch today. The free update has improved 117 player likenesses, introduced 10 new boots, updated some kits, and added FC Barcelona's official backboard. There are less specifics on the patch which is said to have fixed a specific game freeze and made minor adjustments to each mode.  (more…)...
