The latest game to make it to the EA Access Vault on Xbox One is Skate 3, which first became backwards compatible for the system in November. It's a consolation prize for fans of the series given that there is no indication Electronic Arts plans to develop a fourth. Skate 3 originally came out in 2010 and was actually the lowest rated edition of the franchise finishing with an 80 on Metacritic. Some of the complaints related to the proximity of releases as the trio of Skate games were rel...

The latest sports game to arrive in the EA Access Vault on Xbox One is EA Sports UFC 2. Originally released back in March, EA UFC 2 was much better received than the first effort with the series but has struggled to find an audience beyond the most hardcore of MMA fans. The revenue-generating version of Ultimate Team didn't prove especially compelling either which is something publishers have now come to depend upon. UFC 3 is expected in 2018 and some idea of feature plans have already leake...

The appealing nature of the EA Access subscription service tends to fluctuate over the course of a given year, being largely dependent upon times where the primary draw is the 10 hour trials for games about to release or the points at which the addition of those that have been out for a while are made to the Vault. Besides Battlefield 1 there are no more trials to come this year, however several additions to the Vault are planned. The next big sports game to make it to the service will...

FIFA 17 is out now to download as a timed trial with EA Access on Xbox One. Subscribers to the service will get 10 hours of playtime after which the trial will expire. The timer is ticking down whenever the game is loaded regardless of whether it is being played, menus are being navigated through, or if there is any activity taking place at all. Because of that make sure to exit out and close the application from the Xbox One home screen when not in use. The 10 hours are there to play wh...

The latest addition to the EA Access Vault on Xbox One is a game that released on the last generation of consoles. While the 2012 reboot of the SSX series struggled with sales it was generally well-received and was supported admirably by the publisher post-release. Thanks to backwards compatibility the game can now be played on Xbox One and for essentially free to those with an active EA Access subscription. SSX joins the likes of Madden NFL 16, FIFA 16, NHL 16, NBA Live 16, and Rory McIl...

With today's addition of NBA Live 16 to the EA Access Vault all the EA Sports games from 2015 are now included with the subscription service. While there won't be another NBA Live until maybe sometime next year - whether that even materializes will remain to be seen - those on Xbox One can now play Live 16 in unlimited fashion as long as a subscription is active. This is the fifth and final EA Sports game from 2015 to reach the Vault in EA Access. It follows Madden NFL 16 which was add...

The fourth EA Sports game to have originally released in 2015 has reached the Vault in EA Access. Madden NFL 16 was added in February, NHL 16 in March, and FIFA 16 in April. Rory McIlroy PGA Tour has now joined them and all other games from the publisher to have come out earlier this generation. EA Access is currently exclusive to Xbox One with Sony declining to offer the service on PS4. For $30 a year or $5 month-to-month, members get unlimited access to the back library of EA ga...
