MLB Manager 2015 Review
by Brendan Wilhide
MLB Manager 2015 is the latest version of the popular iOOTP series of text-based manangement sims. The new name reflects the fact that the series has an official full MLB license for the first time in the game's history. The new license is a welcome addition to what has become a solid portable version of its more illustrious desktop counterpart, Out of the Park Baseball, and fans will welcome the new license atop an already familiar and strong feature set.

NHL 2K Mobile Review
by Brendan Wilhide
The NHL season is moving along at full speed now and with the colder weather comes even more desire to play some games. Hockey fans with iOS and Android devices received a new version of NHL 2K this season but, like a preseason darling which has stumbled out of the gates, this year's game offers little to excite past 2K fans and is even disappointing enough that those who blindly spend $8 on it may be turned off from even considering future releases. (more…)...

Guest Review: EA Sports UFC
by Dylan Favorite
I have been eagerly anticipating the release of EA Sports UFC since it was officially announced two years ago. Unfortunately, after spending a good chunk of time with it, I can say that it is considerably flawed. I have enjoyed all of the past UFC games from Undisputed 2009 to EA MMA. I would consider myself well versed in both the games and the sport. This version just falls flat in some key areas. (more…)...
iOOTP Baseball 2014 Review
by Brendan Wilhide
iOOTP â14 ($5 in the iOS App Store) is the latest version of the popular Out of the Park Baseball game for iOS devices. The game allows you to pick up and play the 2014 MLB season, replay a historical season, or create a fictional universe with its own teams, players, and rules.
Longtime players will feel right at home thanks to a nearly identical look and feel from previous games. The features are all there, too, including the ability to pick up and play with real M...
Mobile Review: NBA Rush
by Brendan Wilhide
In the freemium iOS game NBA Rush, you control an NBA star and fight back against an alien invasion using dunks, crossovers and sprints. This arcade game is short on story but long on the âjust one more turnâ feeling and thatâs a good thing for casual fans looking to kill a few minutes.
The game itself is slight variation on the runner genre--you control a player as they run through the environment, dodging obstacles, collecting coins for points and taking out al...

In this case you play as a fisherman seeking to catch everything in sight at a variety of local fishing spots, each with unique fish and unique challenges. The result is an addictive âjust one more turnâ game which fits nicely into the iOS sports gaming genre. (more…)...
