Details on third patch for MLB The Show 17
The third patch for MLB The Show 17 has gone live today. Earlier updates to the game delivered some improvements to gameplay plus a few online and uniform fixes. This latest patch does some more for gameplay along with implementing a variety of miscellaneous fixes. The most notable changes include addressing the CPU pulling pitchers too early in Quick Count games and an adjustment to the success rate of bunting against the shift. (more…)...

MLB The Show 17 gets first player ratings changes with second roster update of season
The second roster update for MLB The Show 17 went out today and it's an especially significant one as it delivers the first player ratings changes this year. Some impressive moves have been made by the likes of James Paxton, Bryce Harper, and Freddie Freeman. Paxton is up 5 points to 85 Overall taking him from Silver to Gold. The second Diamond Dynasty Event is underway in MLB The Show 17
When the first of the new 'Events' in MLB The Show 17's Diamond Dynasty mode rolled out earlier this month it was met by heavy criticism both for its structure and initial delay from the advertised start date. Details on MLB The Show 17’s second patch
While a patch was quickly released for MLB The Show 17 two weeks ago it only affected a couple issues related to online play and corrected the Tigers road uniforms. The latest patch, which went out this morning, impacts a whole lot more. Among the most notable changes are a reduction to opposite field power, improvements to the catcher's blocking ability, and a fix for the CPU pulling starting pitchers too early. (more…)...

Details on the first roster update for MLB The Show 17
After having its release delayed a week the first roster update for MLB The Show 17 is now available to download. This update primarily focused on adding new players who have made their major league debuts this season. Once a player makes their first appearance in the big leagues they become part of the MLBPA and eligible for inclusion in the game. (more…)...

Server trouble continues to plague MLB The Show 17
MLB The Show 17 is an excellent game of baseball that is unfortunately dragged down by its server issues. That sums up my review of the game that published nearly two weeks ago and remains true to this day. On Thursday night the servers for MLB 17 went down completely for a considerable period of time and it appears that was just the start of a wave of trouble that would continue throughout Friday. The wait will continue for MLB The Show 17's first roster update. Developer Sony San Diego has announced a delay to the initially planned rollout of today and now state they're expecting to release it Friday, April 21. That first roster update will primarily focus on adding rookies that have made their MLB debut this season and will have few if any attribute changes.
