    Microsoft had serious issues on the Xbox 360 yesterday that caused everything on the system to run extremely slow and even locked out some users from logging in. Though things were finally back to normal in the evening those who downloaded the free uniform pack for NCAA Football 14 earlier in the day could still be stuck with that problem.     EA Sports today rolled out the first set of updated uniforms in NCAA Football 14 which affects 20 teams. Some uniforms are those which debut this upcoming season and others were missing after being worn last year. The pack of uniforms is available now on both the Xbox 360 (which can be queued up to download here) and PS3 for free.     A funny thing happened when the NCAA made public the decision to no longer support video games with official branding - individual institutions who had stayed out of the fray took note that their own exposure to potential litigation was something to consider going forward.   • Six Current College Football Players Added as Plaintiffs to Likeness Lawsuit

    With the judge requiring current athletes get involved now in order to consider them as a party should the player likeness lawsuit be certified as class action attorneys today revealed the names of those that will now be added to the case bringing the total number of plaintiffs to 22 - 16 former athletes and 6 current ones.  (more…)...

    In recent years the NCAA Football series has lacked ambition, innovation, and even proper execution of features. With NCAA Football 14 however those concerns have been largely washed away and the result is a fun football video game that isn't necessarily a great college football video game.     Earlier today the news broke that the NCAA was pulling out of providing their license for any college sports video games. Executive vice president of EA Sports, Andrew Wilson, has responded to the news today to assure fans the series will continue albeit without the NCAA name and logo attached.  (more…)...
  • NCAA Not Renewing Contract With EA Sports; May Bring an End to College Video Games

    The NCAA today announced they will not be renewing their contract with EA Sports for the rights to their name and logo. That means NCAA Football 14 at the very least is the last game that will be able to use that name and it may be the final blow to a series that was already teetering on the edge of viability.  (more…)...

    With NCAA Football 14 having released earlier this week those who did not pick it up already have a couple options to consider if still interested in doing so. The Toys "R" Us promo continues through Saturday (today) with the in-store offer being a $25 gift card with purchase to put towards another item or items at a later date.
