    Variety is reporting that Zombieland writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, will pen the X-Men spinoff, Deadpool. Last month it had been rumored the studio was in talks with the duo for the script, but nothing was official until today. Reese and Wernick, who wrote "Zombieland," will stay true to the mythology of "Deadpool" given that Reynolds is a huge fan and protector of the property.     According to, Zombieland screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are rumored to be writing the upcoming Deadpool film for Marvel Studios. At this point it's a rumor, but the site's source revealed that an announcement could come in the next few days. While nothing is official just yet, it looks like Fox could be hiring Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of Zombieland, to script the adventures of the Merc With A Mouth.     Variety is reporting that Sony is working on a sequel to this year's Zombieland, with the next installment being in 3D. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the sequel's screenplay. The studio is in talks with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson to reprise their roles from the first film.     According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has secured the television rights to 2012 and Zombieland. Even though FX has premiered other blockbusters in the past, this is still pretty significant news considering how well 2012 did this past weekend.     Zombieland originally began as a television series pitch but all the networks turned it down. While there is no way to know if it would've succeeded on TV, the concept evolved into an ideal standalone movie and potentially a franchise.
