  • NBA Live 15 Yet To Receive a Roster Update

While the competition has turned a corner in terms of roster updates the NBA Live series continues to struggle with it. NBA Live 14 at one point in the season went for over a month without an update and now over a week into this season NBA Live 15 is still without one. That means among the inaccuracies are Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook still in the starting lineup for the Thunder, Steve Nash starting for the Lakers, J.J. Barea missing from the Mavericks, and all sorts of other discr...
  • The Hidden Gem of NBA Live 15 Is The ESPN Camera Angle

When considering what the ESPN license means for sports video games most would cite broadcast presentation and maybe commentary teams. However there are other elements that can potentially be implemented and one shines in NBA Live 15. The game has the authentic ESPN camera angles for each arena and it might be the best option to use when playing. Similar to how the TV camera shifts for baseball pitching views from stadium to stadium, and in MLB: The Show that changes up the way each gam...

Among the items listed in the day one patch for NBA Live 15 are updated player faces for four specific players. I went in and grabbed three of them for comparison sake to see just how improved the faces are from those that shipped with the game. Joakim Noah looks the most different with changes more subtle to Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony. Check out the comparison images below by clicking the thumbnails and leave your observations in the comments!           ...

EA Sports released a patch today for NBA Live 15 to coincide with the game's release. It's likely the culmination of work done over the weeks that the game was delayed and addresses primarily visual details but also involves some minor gameplay adjustments. Included too is a roster update which is fitting and necessary as the season begins tonight. ♦Updated scanned heads for: Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Kawhi Leonard, Carmelo Anthony ♦Updated San Antonio Spurs championship jerseys. ...
  • NBA Live 15 Is The Game That Should Have Rebooted The Series
    by

EA Sports isn't treating NBA Live 15 like it's a critical release for the series which desperately needs to establish itself on stable ground and show potential to achieve significant growth in the market within the next few years. In fact they've shown little urgency at all and even have basically admitted it's not a stellar product. No one would have been fooled otherwise but it stands in stark contrast to the way the company promoted previous failed efforts where they instead presented a ...
  • NBA Live 15 Day One EA Access Live Stream
    by

EA Sports has largely shielded consumers from NBA Live 15 and their motivations for doing so have been questioned. This is especially notable coming off four years of failure and promises to change that have been broken time and time again. When the company announced the EA Access subscription service back in July they backed themselves into a corner where they could no longer hide games they may not be all that confident in all the way through release. Now everyone who has an Xbox One and...

NBA Live 15 through EA Access on Xbox One is out now to download as a timed trial. Subscribers to the service will get six hours of play time before it expires with the timer ticking down whenever the game is loaded regardless of whether it is being played, menus are being navigated through, or if there is any activity taking place at all. So make sure to exit out and close the application from the Xbox One home screen when not in use. The six hours are there to play whether its all used...
  • Six Hour NBA Live 15 Stream Tomorrow

EA Sports may have avoided showing gameplay for NBA Live 15 but their commitment to the EA Access program means they couldn't hide the game completely. Tomorrow I'll be holding a live stream of NBA Live 15 running through the entirety of the six hours and in the process will have hopefully shown off sufficient gameplay and most of the modes. Last year hundreds of people joined me in experiencing NBA Live 14 in a live stream that went on for over six hours. What would have been torturous o...
