Date Set for Tiger Woods 14 Patch Release on PS3 as 360 Side Falls Behind
The status of the comprehensive patch for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 - detailed earlier with primary notes on changes to expect - has been updated by EA Sports. The patch cleared certification by Sony and will arrive for the PS3 on Monday the 29th. Microsoft however found a bug in the patch and returned it to EA to fix. After peaking in sales with MLB 10 SCEA's The Show series has declined modestly every year since. In a post on the official forums for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 producer Sean Wilson has confirmed that the first significant patch for the game was set for submission to first party certification late this week. Generally once in the hands of Microsoft and Sony the process takes 10-14 days. It's possible that it could be out next week but far more likely to be the week after. Masters Tournament Now Open in Tiger Woods 14 Country Club
To coincide with the Masters being played April 11-14 a live tournament has been set up in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 Xbox 360 Country Club and started this morning. Deal on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14
Only two weeks after release and there is already a huge deal on Tiger Woods 14 available at some retailers. Amazon has the standard version of the game at just $40Â with the Xbox 360 but $50 on PS3, while the Historic Edition sits at $60Â for both systems. With the Historic Edition content available on the marketplace for $20 there is no advantage to buying one over the other for the 360 if desired. If there is any interest in picking up Tiger this year the deal would be hard to pass up....

The prevalence of downloadable content for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series has not just discouraged some consumers from buying on a yearly basis but has even become a point of contention as evidenced by reaction towards the system implemented in Tiger 13.
